Farmduck 3,188
https://www.nrl.com/draw/?competition=111&season=2021 Here is a list of who each team plays twice: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/nrl-draw-2021-who-every-team-plays-twice-rugby-league-news/news-story/4eadf975dd8e7c89319fc530c5d1897c Storm get a tough draw. They play 6 of this year's top 8 twice. Broncos also get a "tough" draw. Only 14 of their games are on free-to-air prime-time Thursday and Friday night slots. By comparison, Wests Tigers get 2. R L Winger 452
I just checked out the draw at the link below and can't see one game next season being played at Blue Tongue Central Coast Stadium Gosford. This should start the cries again to either bring back the North Sydney Bears, or base a whole new team regularly playing out of the Gosford Stadium that played home to the New Zealand Warriors, while they had to play all their home games in Australia during the 2020 NRL season. DavidM 10,126
This is the time of year when I see the draw and get bemused about how it all works . Draws should end up a level playing field , but by definition of not playing everyone twice it’s not . I’m sure there’s meant to be logic behind it somewhere , beyond me though . How do they work out who you play twice , and at times you don’t play a team for 18 months then play another twice in a month Edited November 26, 2020 by DavidM
Graham 1,933
That's the thing with having 16 teams in the division, to play everyone home and away that'd be 30 league games a season, considered too many. Quote The Australian Rugby League Forum

They finish bottom in 2020 and yet the teams they play twice in 2021 are 8 of this years top 9 plus the Cowboys. The teams they play once next year are this years 10 to 15 placed teams plus the Raiders. I know the NRL is pretty fluid in quality and strength but they have been handed a really tough draw and I don't know how it is determined (I am not a Broncos fan, just using the first team on this page as an example NRL draw 2021: Everything you need to know for your team - NRL)

The 1987 season was the last season in what was then a NSWRL run 13 team competition that each side played each other twice with one team having a bye in every round. In 1997 in both the ARL & Australia Super League competitions each team played each other twice as well in 2 separate competitions.
