Injury update

via Webster on West Yorkshire Sport this evening...
Harrison was very close this weekend, just didn't think he was quite ready. he's hoping Bussey will be close to being ready next week, then hoping Chisholm won't be too far behind him, then Ferres not too far behind him, and Ferguson is back running so says he could have 4 or 5 back in the next month leading up to Wembley.

No mention of any of the other injured players so am guessing they are all much longer-term absentees. Welham in particular there seems to have been very little information about.

Harrison told supporters 2 weeks and i would rather believe him speaking to supporters than the coach. So i would bet that he would be in the 17 next week and get a blow out against Nescastle before Widnes away.So if Bussey will be close for next week that means he is probably penciled in for the Widnes game. Will be glad to get Chissy back whenever it is we miss his creativity.I said when we signed Ferres i didn't want him  and he owes use some big performances when fit.He has had an easy pay day so far it's a good job the Government has been paying most of his wages. If we can get a few games out of Ferguson it would be good ,we knew of his injury record when signing him but he did put the effort on when playing.Todays game not many sides will score 68 points on Dewsbury's tight pitch.Agree the try line defending was poor three tackler's to one attacker should not let in a try.Whiteley on the wing tried his best but for a winger does seem to lack pace off the mark.Dagger ok not nowhere near S.L. class.Thought Holmes could have done a bit more at half back and Lussic was blowing a bit and is probably a couple of games short of being match fit.Roll on next Sunday.

When i looked at our fixture list i missed out our game against London at home.So in my post please delete Widnes and Substitute London instead.I may have to stop posting on Sunday nights as brain co ordination and red wine dont't  mix.

With the lack of news regarding welham wouldnt be suprised to hear he is no longer at the club if that announcement came

Me too and i thought he would be one of our better signings.I't wouldn't be fair if he came back a couple of weeks before Wembley and denied one of the other players a place in the match day 17.

Does seem a bit strange. Whilst we've had players vanish in the past, it's not usually one of the higher profile signings that disappears off the face of the earth.

Disagree S the job of the coach is to pick the BEST team available and if someone misses out then that's the way the cookie crumbles we're in it to win it not to play happy families

How long would it take Welham to get match fit after such a long lay off.If he gets a couple of games in and shows up well then i have no problem with him being selected. He has big match experience and is a good centre by Championship standards but i can't see him being ready.

He was sat together with some of the other injured players at the Dewsbury match.
