Elite 2 Round Summary

Recommended Posts

Interesting read but I have always been told Pia Barouders are a separate side to the previous Les Anes who were in Elite 1. Not sure either if Pia is now a suburb of Perpignan due to urban sprawl or still classed as an independent village?

My wife complains I selfishly stop her fulfilling her true ambition -

she really wants to be a rich widow

I assumed Pia is the same as before but under a new name. The map I looked at shows shading that indicates it’s become enveloped by urban sprawl but that could be misleading.

I did a summary of the above and would welcome your opinion and corrections if deemed necessary. Thank you.

That’s where I did some research for the article. I still don’t understand why it’s described as a merger. I was hoping someone with knowledge of the game there would chip in.

Oi @RayCee, do you know if Elite 1 will be back to full strength next season?

https://treizemondial.fr/pia-monte-en-elite-1-un-championnat-a-10-equipes/

As expected in recent weeks, Pia will play well in Elite 1 next season and the competition should be played with 10 teams.

Elite 2 champion in the golden point, Pia was anyway the only Elite 1 candidate for next season. Even in the event of a defeat in the final, the Adventurers would probably have played on the upper floor. Starting at the very bottom a few seasons ago, Pia has rebuilt himself in time to return to the Elite 1 championship.

Normally there will be 10 Elite 1 teams next season. Villeneuve, who had expressed doubts a few weeks ago, should be at the start despite a massive exodus of his players. After a season of only nine teams following the departure from Palau, Elite 1 should play again at 10 clubs next season.
