Great win by Saddleworth 30 - 19.

Saw a first in sport. The players came out for the second half and Edinburgh kicked off, then about 3 minutes later the referee came out of the toilets to start the game - it was three tackles old.

That was hilarious. Near the end of the game the commentators were acknowledging the efforts of refs and touch judges at this level. ‘Without the referee the match wouldn’t be happening,’ says Mark Flanagan Well it did at the start of the second half. I wonder if the RFL will be checking his head cam recording for that pint in the match.

On another point- Freddie Wilson might be worth a look at for the Roughyeds if he bulked up a bit and improved his fitness. He had a good creative game
