But just went back to Chrome by mistake and it froze then crashed again.

I am happy to workaround and persevere as a long term member but I can't help but think it would put new people off.  It is the only Web site I use that does this.

Check you are running the latest version of Chrome.

    1    On your Android phone or tablet, open the Play Store app.
    2    At the top right, tap the profile icon.
    3    Tap Manage apps & device.
    4    Under "Updates available," find Chrome.
    5    Next to Chrome, tap Update.

If the problem persists after this, let me know.
