I can't believe we almost got through a full year without a "Wests Tigers broke" story. I've lost count of the number of times I've tried to point out that for years, it has been Balmain who are broke. There has always been a simple solution and it has been used - Balmain sell its share to Wests Ashfield. The Ashfield entity now owns 90% of Wests Tigers and they are not broke.

I realise that the writers of these pieces don't control the headlines.
