Vipers have easily the coolest name.

Hopefully they pick one that can prove it has funding in place.

Anglian Windows, Bedford Vans and Goole E's. Seriously though good luck to them all. I think they should all be in and have a league 1 with teams of a similar level.

Go Bedford!  Can't see Vipers doing it.

Goole E’s 😂

Hoping for Goole to make step up. Doncaster already have a tie up with them in a development capacity and could offer a lot of support including a possible duel reg arrangement which is already being used with Tom Halliday

Add all three and aim towards SL of 14 with Championship and League 1 12 teams medium term, possible further expansion long term

Knowing these Southern teams a little, I think that Bedford have more of an idea of what it will take to develop a long-term player base.  Their Director of Rugby has tried many times to develop junior teams and associations with other clubs.  Anglian seem to have a good base behind them but they're brand new and not even really excelling at their level.

Reading their pitches, Goole's looks the best but is reliant on the stadium.

If one side is chosen they‘ll be a whipping boy, adding all 3 would actually give the new sides someone of their level to play against.

Only one is viable. Goole, all three will have to get a whole new squad of players to play League 1. Goole are best placed to pick up players good enough without them having to relocate as players for the other two would. I cannot believe people just saying let them all in. Why would you let a team in just for applying?

Are you completely against expansion then, if you think all teams should be right next to the existing heartlands?

This is rehash of Oxford, Hemel Stags West Wales, It will be disaster n embarrassment in waiting for the RFL. I hope I am proved wrong, but I just can't see a backer putting in £150,000 in with very little return.

Union clubs perhaps?

Some who might have played at University or in their youth

It's the same answers from the same people.  Have you tried to ever run a club?  Do you have any expertise whatsoever?

I’d like to see Bedford get in because they’re doing a lot of great work putting foundations in place over the years but with the short notice Goole are the only real potentially sustainable option due to playing pool and standard

What assistance would you offer them?

Difficult to answer as I don't know the reasons they didn't get admitted into League 1 for as yet.

However I think that we should try to encourage the people involved and not just shut the door on them.

That might get you a team for the East League, perhaps an SCL reserves side. League 1 is levels above that.

No not at all. I welcome it but where would Bedford and Vipers get their players from?

That is the biggest hurdle to overcome for clubs outside the heartland. As has been the issue before with failed clubs.

Right now, Goole is the one that makes sense.

They have access to the player base and a decent ground. There's no reason why a town of 22K roughly equidistant from Hull and Castleford shouldn't be able to grow a semi-pro team.

It's harder to make that same case for the other two

But, hopefully, a plan will be put in place for the other two to reach the required level and player base for possible inclusion in 2026.
