UpTheRaiders Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 Matty Costello signed a deal to keep him here for another 2 years. A good bit of business for us I think he's a cracking player and looked good when he filled in in the halves. Following locked in for next season Wood Costello Bulman T.walker B.walker Johnston Broadbent McMillan Good core of players to build around, hopefully we can get Silva Stack and Cressy signed on next 1

He's 37 at the start of next season. I'm quite staggered at his performance levels at this stage of his career. 1
The Vet Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 To sign a 2 year deal now is presumably a good sign his knee injury isn’t too bad and he’ll be fully fit for pre season trainingVery Good player to build the squad around 2

I'm quite staggered at his performance levels at this stage of his career. He's a remarkable player and indeed the Championship has a number of players defying Father Time at the moment. Paul Sykes turned out for Dewsbury at Odsal on Friday at the age of 43! Misi Taulapapa has been playing for Doncaster (and also Rochdale in league 1) at the age of 42. Even today, if Stack plays at Fev, he won't be the oldest forward on the field, as James Lockwood is almost two years older. All these players are a tribute to the fitness of modern players as well as their own personal dedication.
