Very very tough yes on paper.

A tough league thats got tougher with London and West Wales gone and Cornwall improving i cant see any easy games.

Our 1895 group looks by far the toughest and we will play a top Championship side and the holders Halifax, as well as Oldham three times in our opening half a dozen games who are talking about Super League and by their own admission have recruited a higher end Championship squad and seem to be adopting a Toronto / Leigh style approach!

Looks and feels great though from what its been over the past few years and it makes my Platinum pass look like fantastic value for money, with ten home games guaranteed plus Law Cup, 1895 Cup and the potential of a home Challenge Cup game thrown in also.

Id imagine bookies will have Oldham way out in front followed by Keighley and it seems Midlands are throwing big bucks at it now so they may be in amongst the top 3 or 4 favourites. Workington, North Wales, Hunslet etc will all be strong again you would imagine, but looking at our recruitment and the media coming out of our club we seem to be working to a plan and seem stronger and hopefully can be back aiming at that top end mix after a rebuild year in 2023 🀞

Of course all games are crucial, but the understandably, imposed 5 successive tour games more so - to Newcastle, Cornwall then via Yorkshire up to Cumbria!

Having 5 homers out of the last 6 fixtures should help. Β  A very interesting season - even better if we can s***f the rich neighbours and enjoy much bigger attendances.

(On the copied list, a second 19 May should be 26 May for Newcastle.)

I have not been as optimistic or looked forward to a season so much for a long time.

Our β€œloop” fixtures havent done us any favours, particularly on the road with two trips to Workington and Newcastle.

Yes I feel our division is well thought out for 2024 given all the problems of 2023 so there’s more optimism around the club. I feel that we can all play our part, as supporters, by backing the club both support wise and financially as best we can. I’m sure we all know all the various avenues that we can help financially and I hope we can go the extra mile with this in mind.

It’s been some time since we all feel more confident about our club, both on the playing front and the leadership.

We are all in it together so lets push on to better things for 2024.
