David Kendall

I'm so sorry to have to post on here the shock news of the death earlier today of my good friend and friend of many many more, David Kendall.

David, a former bank manager for Barclays Bank and an after dinner speaker of some renown, compared the ex players lunches for many years and spoke at many York R.L. functions. He will be greatly missed. R.I.P. Dave.

Used to share a box with David many years ago. Even when things weren't going well on the field you could always rely on his wit and wisdom to raise your spirits. RIP

Just seen this. Very sad news. A great fella was Dave. Always optimistic always had a funny tale to tell. Been at many dinners where he was the compere and he was class. Always a gentleman. So sad. RIP Dave.
