barnyia
It's a selection of the best players in the Perpignan area plus players from other areas, they train every day, they have a squad of 40 players, they took almost all the players from the u17s champions baho, the other clubs train twice a week and are struggling to get 17 players on the team sheet every week, they almost lost to the merged Avignon club in the cup when Avignon had all their players available from carpentras and Entraigues elite 2. Just a thought but maybe they should take all the best players (Toulouse do the same thing) and coach them at this level and let them play for their origin 19s club every weekend, the championship will be better and the Catalans and Toulouse can promote the best, the rest go back to their elite club when they're too old. A bit like the scholarship system in England.

A bit like the scholarship system in England. That’s how it should be. Both CD and the clubs then win all round but…, it could be that Guasch insists they must win everything. Got to say though, they seem a rabble at times.
barnyia
It's been said a few kids think they've made it as soon as they have the team tracksuit,

yipyee
They should jump on the plane the first team get and mirror the the first team away fixtures. That they don't play in SL youth leagues is scandalous

That they don't play in SL youth leagues is scandalous That would hike the costs, insurances and also might not be 100% possible to achieve due to Pole, Uni attendance requirements. I think what Barney is saying is a good. By using a system comparable with our Scholarships. Both the amateur and pro game would win.
barnyia
Last time they had a team in the academy it cost them over 500,000 just to cover the costs. A bit expensive for an academy team.

audois
Getting the Catalans U19 along with Toulouse U19 may be together to play some English sides home and away should be possible Do the France U19s presently play every year against the England team home and away Edited March 1 by audois "It involves matters much greater than drafting the new rules...the original and existing games have their own powerful appeal to their players and public and have the sentiments which history inspires" - Harold 'Jersey' Flegg 1933 "Just as we had been Cathars, we were treizistes, men apart." - Jean Roque, Calendrier-revue du Racing-Club Albigeois, 1958-1959 Si tu( Remi Casty) devais envoyer un fax au Président Guasch? barnyia
The France 19s play the England academy for a one off match in early July, then it's the European cup in Belgrade, then I've heard the Aussie schoolboys may be over this winter,
