Final Hooter For Major AFL Stadium Upgrade

Recommended Posts

Kardinia Park is in the final stages of its long journey to become Australia’s best regional stadium. Hard to think it will be usurped from that title anytime soon as the fabulous ground becomes a fully seated 40k stadium.

Meanwhile, Sydney suburban NRL clubs are still running out in relics like Leichardt, Shark Park, Campbelltown, Brookie, Kogarah Oval and Panthers Stadium.

Don't think Melbourne City FC need a new stadium. Watching Aussie soccer League game on TV, Melbourne City,  THERE'S VIRTUALLY NO CROWD. How can this continue ? This league must surely collapse soon. Don't blame fans ignoring this, very poor standard.

Was it even a thing being discussed?

The A-League’s steep decline in profile and following over the last ten years has been extraordinary.

Pork Barrel Delivers Bacon Shocker!

Vic pollies can at least rely on fans to fill the place which, to some extent, justifies the investment. PVL would be better advised lobbying the NSW gov for home-improvement grants. New TVs and sofas for Sydney NRL "fans". Replace Abdo with Shaynna Whatsherface.

Question for TRL AFL fans. There must be one out there.

When roughly 80k attend MCG games on consecutive nights, are they all distinct supporters of the competing clubs? Or are some general "Footy" fans, big event-goers, who go both nights, just along for the ride.

Comparing with NRL, any chance something similar but smaller could happen if the Bunnies move back to Allianz?

Didn't the pre suburban sprawl NSWRL have Match of the Round at the SCG?
