Leeds were good value for the win and could easily have had a few more

Wigan struggled to break through the middle. Leeds defence was pretty strong throughout.

Seen lots of comment online about how good Wigans young players are but Leeds have a few of their own

Over next few years I expect some of the top 4 clubs academy players to be released and find places at other SL clubs hopefully making the comp more level

Wigan just don’t have the forward depth so when they miss key players such as Molyneux & Casey the drop off in quality is noticeable.

Great win for Leeds and good to see Ebony Stead in the try scorers list.

This is a good point, I just dont think it will be academy players been released who will go to other Super League teams, I think it will be more current first teamers who want to be regular starters that make way for the academy talent. It does hopefully give the same end result of lifting the competition.

For the academy players that will be released this year, I think most will go back to their community clubs if they decide to keep on playing. We also have the added complication of the 19's competition moving to Sunday morning and im hearing a number of players from Leeds and Huddersfield will go and play for their community teams in the Championship and League 1 rather than be part of the 19's competition.
