2Cents Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 Not at all worried if we get pasted Saturday. Expect we will. Much more interested and concerned about Swinton v Doncaster on Sunday. It's a Cup Final for the Lions and given they beat Featherstone at home 2 weeks ago, they will be up for it. So IF they win, we will HAVE to beat Widnes in the final game or otherwise we'll be 3rd bottom and an 'anything can happen' play-off game with a League 1 team. Whitehaven have a shot to win both their 2 Cup Finals against Batley and Halifax, who are quite beatable, being only 1 point ahead of the Raiders. So could be same as last Season, the last game out of 26 played will be do or die to 2 or more teams. 1

ghost of uncle fester Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 Not worried in the slightest, personally I think Donny on form should beat Swinton,if not I think Widnes will be a win anyway, there bang out of form and decimated injury wise ,and lastly not a cat in hells chance any of them league one clubs beat barrow,or Swinton 1

But any side in any sport can beat the other - that's why they play the game. 'Expect the unexpected'. Would you be willing to 'bet the farm' on your predictions? 2

Agree anything is possible on any given day but as far as league one teams go I'd bet my bottom dollar whoever it is doesn't beat the champ team, while Oldham were decent and up automatically, there's a massive drop in quality from them to let's say Keighley or Rochdale who are most likely to win the play offs , reasonably confident of a win over Widnes ,yeah Swinton are unpredictable but think Donny will win that one and havens fate I think will be sealed at Batley 1
HP Beans Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 Fingers crossed that the results go our way this weekend 1
Rod77 Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Hopefully some players get a rest this week and give some other fringe players a run out, let the lads with knocks and niggles rest up for the big one next week 1
RLDB Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Full time Wakefield 46 Barrow 0. No great shock, some players rested. Next weeks game is the priority. 2

Raider91 Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 Watched the full game which is available on Wakefields YouTube channel. Delaine Bedward was head and shoulders our best player. He carried it great against massive pack and didn't make a defensive mistake. He was signed as a 'project player' from what I've seen of him in recent weeks he could well turn out to be a gem I hope he is retained for next season and gets a good crack at it. To a man we had a dig and if we were at full strength I genuinely believe we could have given them a game. 1
