HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS will be in a new stadium within the next ‘three or four years’, according to director for change Ralph Rimmer.
The Giants currently play out of the Accu Stadium – and have done for the entirety of the Super League era – but with attendances and atmosphere severely lacking, owner Ken Davy has sought other options to try and take the West Yorkshire club forward.
In 2026, the Giants will play out of The Shay, according to Rimmer, but further down the line, there is an exciting plan.
“It’s highly probable that we will be at The Shay in the short-term, but we are looking at many different options,” Rimmer told Sky Sports.
“I’ve been in fairly protracted talks with the local authority about finding a site near by but it’s not as straightforward as you would expect.
“But, what I can tell you is we will be in an 8-10,000 capacity stadium within the next three or four years.
“We will be playing in some sell-out crowds and we will be developing a banging atmosphere of a club.”
