it has always surprised me that the mail has never given more coverage to league than it does, richard bott the mails league corespondant is an avid saints fan who has followed the game since his primary school days.

The coverage in the Daily Mail is fairly decent compared to other national newspapers. Not sure how much coverage is given in the southern editions though.
