Sheffield win 26-24 ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

biggrin.gif

In summary: Leigh forwards far better, Sheffield backs and halves superior. Leigh scored most of their chances, Sheffield bombed loads.

What a win!

Well done Sheffield.

Hard luck Leigh laugh.gif

I do feel sorry for some Leigh fans, but others constantly moaning about Widnes do your Club no favours...........

Well done Sheffield...too little (in ideas) too late for us - like you say, with the kicker on form you would have trounced us

Ah well, another season over...feel for all the supporters who stick with em home and away...and still will, and will moan and groan but still go - luv em

As for Millward, when a few coaches announced their departure months back...I was expecting him to leave...and I don't think we would do any worse if he did....don't matter much at this stage I suppose...although the second half of the season can't do his own CV much good

Feel for the players who give their all like Chris Hill and I hope they don't lose faith and keep their chins up

As for Widnes fans gloating on this thread///fek off

I thought that was a brilliant game. Much more like the game I fell in love with 34 years ago than the clinical, SteriLe stuff in SL.

Well done Sheffield! You came from nothing to the top tier, won the Ch. Cup and got shafted by the RFL's merger ######. But you still keep on coming on! I watch the games on of the streaming sites and Mark Aston cops a lot of stick on there, but I reckon he deserves a bloody big medal for what he's done at Sheffield.

Most games in the championship are like that maybe you could ask that Salford play in it from 2012. wink.gif

One of the games of the season, feel for Leigh but Sheffield definitely deserved it.

Mark Aston is a Rugby League legend, I don't know if there'd be a Sheffield club without him.

Feel sorry for Leigh. Theirs is a name synonymous with RL. I do think they will struggle to convince the people who matter that they are 'right' for SL. (I'm not convinced SL is so bloody great, anyway!) Whatever, there will always be a Leigh in RL and so there should be!

Great game, exciting and full of passion.

Sheffield to tick a box? Expansion into S.Yorks over the Widnes bid?? Surely not

Looking like Widnes v Sheffield next week if current form is anything to go by.

Taluapapa won't play again this season - a big blow really.

I thought Trevor Exton was immense tonight - just blotted his copybook with that one dropped ball. Nice to see Brendon getting some credit - he's been a brilliant servant for the club - a true professional.
North Derbyshire Chargers - join the stampede

Raising money for Prostate Cancer UK - ran the Spire 10 mile in August and the Worksop Half Marathon in October - more to come in 2013

Ha ha! I really wouldn't care too much. (I know nobody will believe that - well, Padge might, as we've actually chewed the fat face to face - but it is true.)

I love the game and my allegiance to the Red Devils is more to do with where my mother was on 11/4/53 - Hope Hospital - than any rational decision on my part. I just want the whole game to prosper and I'm not sure that SL will make that happen. It's more likely to create a divided game with a top tier of 12 or 14 f/t professional clubs and a load of amateur clubs, with varying levels of per-game payment, cut adrift to fend for themselves. I hope this doesn't happen, but I fear it will.

Widnes will beat Barrow

Fev will beat Fax

Sheffield will go to Widnes and win

Fax will then beat Sheffield

Fev will beat Fax

Fev win grand final

Lets see if thats anywhere near
A lot of Yorkshiremen believe that when God created the world, he made it with perfect balance.
He balanced the hot areas with the cold areas. the dry areas with the wet areas.
And, in creating Yorkshire, he created the most glorious place on earth - full of majestic beauty and sporting giants.........and for balance he created....... Lancashire.

No need for that attitude. Do you think i was laughing at you ?

I'm afraid not, i was laughing at the likes of Tipster Ste, who constantly bleats about us rather than worring about his own Club.

Not really a surprise.

Hate playing Sheffield, always think they are awkward sods to play against.

Plus they fetch about a dozen with them.
Just because you think everyone hates you doesn't mean they don't.

Really enjoyed that game.

I'm a lifelong Sheffield United supporter (no digs please, it's bad enough already) but I reckon by far the most exciting player at Bramall Lane this year has been Menzie Yere.
