  1. Everyone knows the best structure for three divisions is 14-8-14. Ooh, we are so close to it happening again. What is the definition of madness?
  2. BBC News used to have a show called Hard Talk. Guests would be given a grilling by the host journalist, Stephen Sackur. He did his research and then properly challenged guests on their views, actions, history, beliefs - properly holding them to account. The show ended earlier this year. I would love to see Nigel Wood on Hard Talk.
  3. For Cas, managing to get three Kiwi internationals in the squad at the same time was amazing. Tawera Nikau, Ritchie Blackmore and Tony Kemp in the same team - so exciting to watch.
  4. One of my favourite moments on here was when a bloke posted that he was recording a match so he didn't want to know the score. Everyone seemed to comply with his wishes - different times! - but then Rhuby sent him the result in a PM. The bloke was really mad and came on ranting and raving. Also remember Paley and his badgering of a Guardian journalist - Frank Keating? And some attempt to get everyone to use their PCs to do something which got the forum into a global top 50 of something. Yeah, memory not so good.
  5. Bring back the giant crows.
  6. For New Zealand, it looks as though Sky Sport NZ no longer have SL rights - none of the games for this weekend are showing on their online TV guide. Apparently the SL app is available in NZ. Was hoping it would be in addition to being available on Sky but seems not.
  7. Could someone direct me to a post on this thread which explains how the new structure works next season? A post number will work as a reference. I may have missed it and I'm not reading the whole thread just on the off chance.
  8. Baffling signing - would have thought Wigan could attract better players than Pettybourne. He's not bad but he's nothing special.
  9. Yeah, we don't need to entice people who can't make up their minds beforehand do we? Woe betide anyone who doesn't know whether they can make a game until the day arrives. Why stop there? If you haven't got a season ticket that lasts for the next five years, not only will you be denied entry but you will be paraded around the local town centre so people can throw rotten fruit at you (maybe put them in stocks) before being banned from attending any RL match for 20 years for having the gall to try and attend a game of RL on a whim. Any club implementing the above policy will be given an immediate ten year SL licence. We'll worry about what to do when there aren't enough fans to cover the salary of the man who shines Stevo's head and combs Eddie's syrup before matches when that point is reached. FFS
  10. I don't like it when these things are announed in advance. It did Huddersfield and Bradford zero favours when their coaches' departures were announced this season. Rightly or wrongly, some players seem to switch off and it leads to a drop off in performances. If the players don't know a coach is leaving, they still have to play to impress as he might be the one making contract decisions for the following season. This might be a controversial call but I say release Matterson now. We've had a good run recently against some poor teams from the lower half but we have rarely threatened the top sides this year. We still have an awful defence. Harsh maybe but I think we should be aiming for top 4 and a real crack at the title, not sneaking into the top 8 and losing in the first round. We need an ambitious coach.
  11. Perhaps he could do a TV advert to sell his shares in Harlequins?
  12. Once you get to Twickenham, just follow the crowds.
