Barrow was our first League game.

I think its a bit early in the season for everyone to be throwing themselves in the dock. I wasn't at the game so its hard to comment, but it looks like Jonty has the issue nailed. Good completion in the first half and we were in the lead, then it all went pear shaped when the completion dropped. I wouldn't like to be a back at training this week given his comments. Let's hope it gets fixed quickly. UTT

We have the squad to beat Rochdale, but we have to complete our sets and have good kicks at the end. Important to try and get some points on the board. UTT

Has anyone got a spare 180m long, 70mm thick extension cable they aren't currently using? A lad at work says his mate has got a new telly in the January sales but can't plug it in, he's also after a 200m long HDMI cable so he can connect his firestick, and also wants one of them waterproof boxes that you can plug your Xmas lights into your extension. Unfortunately he never read the description when he bought it and he's spent all his Christmas Argos vouchers on dart boards and is now skint. He says failing that he has some spare running running machines and exercise bikes and he's thinking of rigging them to a genny and putting jam on toast as a prize for his marras if they race on them for a couple hours on a Sunday afternoon. He's quite a shy lad so if you can keep this on the quiet it would be much appreciated. If you can help his email is jammybutterkegs@gofundmeyetagain.com Thank you.

With an incomplete main stand there will be a few hundred stood on the bridge watching for nowt.

Another entertaining episode, think Brayden was let off a bit with the food though. It was all nice stuff. I've got to be honest squashing a hard boiled egg up in the crisp packet is a new one on me. I've had it when there's crushed crisps in the packet so they stick to the intact or bitten egg but mashing the egg up? The eggs need to be pub eggs in malt vinegar for the best taste too. Looking forward to the next one. UTT.

On the St Helens Facebook post there are a lot of their fans not happy with the Friday night decision. Let's hope plenty still make the journey.
-
Well we get through to the next round to get to welcome St Helens, so job done. It will be interesting to hear Jontys thoughts because if we cough up possession like that against Saints they'll put a hundred on us. We improved in the second half, but still ordinary and you could tell its only the third game. We need to start gelling quickly as we are very rusty with ball in hand. Great for the club to get St Helens and hopefully get a bumper gate & pay day. UTT

Credit to Blackbrooke, but we are awful. Set completion it terrible, Scholey has been superb and Bedward looks strong. I'll bet Jonty gave them an absolute roasting at half time but we aren't much better in this half.

I'd say Jonty will have a fair idea what we need to thrive in the Championship. The middles will be essential throughout the season. Id agree with more options in the creative position to cover injury, but let's face it as fans we'd never be happy. Despite last Sunday's result I'm really looking forward to see how we go. UTT

Aye Siddick pickled buckies, nice bit of Peels black pudding with the ingredients pointed out beforehand, and then to be nice some cumberland sausage & HP, cheese XL & sticky toffee pudding.
-
I think we are definitely covered in the middles now with 2 in a week. Welcome to town Delaine. That's Bedward, Williams, Reid, Farrer, Ainley, Castle, Graham, Scholey isn't it?. Unless some are gonna get moved further back in the pack there's a lot of competition there. UTT

I think it would be good to get folk in from different eras of town teams to give up a few stories. People might be more comfortable in pairs ( if there's room on the sofa) Names wise is probably more difficult as to who's local and willing. But as already been said, Billy Pat, Peter & Ben, Hitro & Tane on what it was like coming from the other side of the world to live here, Loppy O'Neil is always good craic. Then maybe representing local clubs somebody like Les & Gus for Seaton etc. I'd also like to hear from those working hard in the background to help the club,Graeme, Sloaney, Patch, Rob etc.

I think, its wasted money investing in a digital scoreboard unless its rehoused in the new borough park. In which case it should be funded by the new CSV. I won't hold my breath.

You weren't alone, I hadn't seen him play a lot and as the jambos player of the year I expected a line breaking beast of a prop. But by mid season I think everyone appreciated what a good player he is, just in a different way than I expected. Really enjoying the podcasts, for two lads brand new to this type of thing its really good. Hopefully they can persuade a few guests to appear to bounce off, maybe some ex players or stalwarts of the community game will be brave enough, or some saints players if we get through. UTT
