SL clubs look to reinstate Nigel Wood.

The RL press is as compliant as the Welsh sports press has been to the WRU which has seen the sport lurch from crisis to crisis on and off the park. Only recently have they began asking some questions, which they should've been doing within the decade prior, however this may be too late to arrest decline and even then there are only few hacks worth their salt doing this whilst the rest still act as a Pravda/firewall for the WRU. The RL press has a duty to hold the custodians of the sport to account, they are a vital cog in the machine to keep the sport alive and thriving. Sadly it is evident that the majority of the RL press are happy to be fed crumbs for their mates at the high table for an easy life, than do the sport and it's supporters justice and actually investigate, validate and call out impropriety, you know, be journalists. -

As an uneducated outsider, I think so. I can't see money being spent on a revamped Homebush and a new Liverpool stadium. Homebush is right in the middle of the old Balmain and Western Suburbs territories, Tigers shouldn't be playing out of Leichhardt in 2025. -

Usually give 6 Tackles with Gus a listen. Aside from that, ploughed through the Rugby League Digest's In-Depth Investigation of the Super League War, essential listening to make sense of all the fun which happened in the 90's (it's focussed on Australia but touches on the UK game quite a bit too) -

It was Parra (as I stated above) and they got a smidge under 60k. Doggies have a lot of potential, when Parra hit form they will also be a western Sydney juggernaut. Venues NSW won't fund a new stadium at Liverpool and redevelop Homebush to what it needs to be. Doggies should be based out of there (same with Wests) and play the token game at Belmore. It wasn't long ago that a 20k after was a pipedream for the NRL, I think 25k is a target that will be met sooner rather than later. -

The Doggies are looking to get another 60k+ for their home match against Parramatta in a couple of weeks. Doggies and Wests need to be playing out of Homebush full time and put pressure on the government to commence the mothballed reconfiguration. Any new Liverpool stadium would push the needed redevelopment of Homebush further down the track. With regards to St George, they shouldn't play at Kogarah anymore but evenly split their matches between SFS and Wollongong. -

Sport England need to take RFL to the cleaners. Sooner the top professional clubs leave this show, the better. -
England v Australia 2025 - coming to the UK!

The Beeb gives legitimacy to the series. With the RU Autumn Internationals retreated behind paywalls, home international RL really needs to take advantage of the audience built up, used to international rugby in the autumn months on FTA TV. A Wales-France series would be fairly easy to put together and offer some content to broadcasters. -
That's disappointing but highlights the dependency on away fans which a top flight, professional sports league shouldn't be driven by. Another reason why Hull KR will be in NRL Europe

So Leigh is alone in it's struggle in the cost of living crisis and Messr Beaumont is taking a stand for the fans betterment, and toys are not being thrown out of the pram as his side doesn't appear to be within NRL's Europe plans? -

Perth Oval is the original name for HBF Park, it's not an oval! -
