DB has issued a new outburst regarding relegating Hull. The season is incomplete. You are on the same thread I believe? Derek seems very bitter with Hull and want the world to know. I don’t think many could defend some of his actions or outbursts - and btw, I am on record on here for saying I take my hat off to him for putting money in. But, he would be far better keeping his council or calling Pearson to express his angst rather than over twitter.

Yeah, a few mentioned he was hit and miss beforehand. I think his issues are that a) he is a single bloke in a strange land and b) he has come into a disjointed bunch and his confidence is shot. Personally, I think moving to Bradford will be worse rather than better but money counts more than feelings and that is sad in this instance.

I think Derek has a short memory. This was one of the replies: ‘Are you the guy that was given a place in super league over 4 other clubs without earning the right through ‘promotion’ and asked his players in 2017 to leave causing an employment tribunal ? Hull fc have way more class and decorum than you mate.’

OF will confirm I would’ve liked Danny to go a few years ago but he was probably in the best 3 players we had last year. For me, it’s threefold. One, the frustration that they can’t stick to a defensive pattern. Two, that they failed to get a decent half back pre season together with poor succession planning. Three, long term injuries.

Just watched that on catch up. Leigh’s hard work in the first half reaped the benefits in the second. Salford ran out of energy. Big raps for the Leigh front 3. What a great winger Charley still is.

Yeah, you’re right. Records show he played at FB once in Feb, once in April 2023. Against your opponents tonight actually. 10 times in 2022. He’s played FB for the majority of his career though.

Back end of last year, for Leigh, and also about 10 times in 2022. Must have been games you didn’t go to Like I said, he can play, but imo he needs some kind of freedom to his game. Unfortunately against the coaches wishes most of the time! Considering the ‘culture’ has been mentioned since Smith and now Grix have been in charge of coaching, this goes against changing it imo. They say it, but don’t really understand how to change it. I think that also applies to many people. For what it’s worth, I don’t think Grix is the future either.

Yes. Often they are turned down for distance from the try line but in this case he made it anyway. Edit: just watching the Eels v Broncos game and the Ells winger gets clouted around the head during a gang tackle in the corner (8th minute). He loses the ball in the process of trying to put it down and it goes dead. No penalty but a penalty in front of the sticks for an earlier infringement for offside.

Similar with Sculthorpe coming through the academy. No matter what plan we had to reduce his impact, he always shone.
