  1. Here is the text in the laws of the game. Being in possession is defined as 'holding or carrying the ball.' A knock-on is 'to knock the ball towards the opponent's dead ball line with hand or arm.' And 'A player shall be penalised if they deliberately knock on or pass forward.' So, you can knock-on when you are not officially in possession (we all see this in almost every game). And you can (according to the laws) be penalised for deliberately knocking-on... whether you are the player in possession or not is not mentioned in the laws. And I don't buy this 'everyone knows' part. 'Trust me, everyone knows' is no way to codify the laws of a sport. Anyway, I don't care if deliberate knock-on's are penalised or not. But They do happen and by the laws of the game, as they are written, they should be penalised.
  2. Why does it not say that in the laws of the game?
  3. If someone is up for murder, can they claim it was actually just a deliberate life spoiling tactic.
  4. I agree. Across the UK game the play the ball is a lot better this year, in fact I think it looks better than the Aussie game now.
  5. Putting Fifita's ability to one side, why is it that you classify him as a greedy money chaser over any other professional player? He is 24 years old, played for two professional clubs so far and has honoured every contract he has signed? What behaviour has he demonstrated that you disapprove of? (And for those not wanting the Brits in the NRL thread to be dragged off topic, I will just let jonny tell me his reasons and leave it there)
  6. Pleased for the Broncos and their fans. Feel for the FC fans but that's sport, for every winner there is a loser.
  7. I am stating for the record that I am agreeing with every decision that touch judge makes.
  8. London leading in 4 of the stats (possession, metres, missed tackles and errors) while FC have a slightly better completion rate and conceded fewer penalties. This advantage is reflected on the scoreboard. Is there any of these specific stats you need me to explain?
  9. Didn't play last week either. Have to assume he is injured.
  10. Herbie Farnworth and Dom Young pick up Dally M points this week in their side's respective victories.
  11. He didn't. Look how good a combination they are when he does get Young away.
  12. I would pick 13 loose forwards and be the Great Britain coach in 2003.
