What a great result. It was everything I love about the Raiders, Heart, Passion, Skill and sheer hard work WHat an asset we have in Cresta. How he keeps on lifting this team and us boggles my mind. I watched on Lounge TV. That was one of the best fivers I have ever spent. ( on a downbeat note some of the camera work was poor. The last Bradford try was out of shot..but who wants to watch tries against us?).the Cresta knockers are very quiet.

Sometimes you just have to say the better team won. To say the Hurricanes probably had their worst performance of the season ( arguably their 2nd) is not being fair to Cru. It's no coincidence that those two performances were against the same team. Which in its self is shows that Crusaders were the best team. Hopefully when (if) we meet in the playoffs BOTH teams will know that that game will be the most important of them all. Cru will know that they will be favourites and the Canes will know that IF they do turn up they can beat what is THE best team in the division ( so far)

He was wearing a jockstrap but at sometime in the 70/80's they went out of fashion Any one know when they were replaced by budgie smugglers? -

I'm with you on this Griff. My perception comes from my last 3 or 4 visits to Cougar Park. In my opinion ( and this was echoed by my Keighley friends) was that the " message" was far more important than the actual rugby. Last season there was an internet spat between another Chairman in League 1 and the owners of Keighley. The Director's of other clubs chimed in and the overwhelming consensus was that the issues that they understood that Keighley wanted to highlight the issues that those in the LBGT community have had encountered. BUT, they thought that at a rugby game "Rugby" was the main issue. Fans stand shoulder to shoulder with the people wearing their colours regardless of politics, race, religion or creed and hopefully of regardless of the minefield that is gay rights. Those two hours or so of rugby give us the chance to leave the other IMPORTANT things behind in the company of others that are like minded. There is definitely a feeling of schadenfreude with Keighley's table position. Not against our mates that are hurting but against "The Club" who just seem to have lost their way. On a match day I want rugby not politics. Right I'm ready, I've got my crash hat on and I don't give a flying #### if anyone is upset.

On a lighter note. I was talking to a patient the other week and remarked that she and I both had arthritis. She was most indignant that she had not got arthritis. I asked her what she thought she had got and she quickly replied " I've got Early Onset Rigor Mortis "

They were both and still are in Lancashire. Welcome to Friends of Real Lancashire Friends of Real Lancashire are concerned to promote the true identity of our county which has been extremely confused in the minds of some people, especially those working in the broadcasting and newspaper industries, since the local government reorganisation of 1974. The Government at that time stated that the "new counties" were administrative areas only, and that the boundaries of traditional counties such as Lancashire had not been changed. Unfortunately, the media refer to these administrative areas all too frequently and ignore the fact that places such as Barrow-in-Furness, Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington, etc. are still in Lancashire. If administrative areas had not been called counties much of this confusion would have been avoided. The Royal Mail has at last dropped the use of administrative county names in postal addresses, and names such as Cumbria and Merseyside do not appear in the current Royal Mail Postal Address Book. Yes, the Kippax incidents were as Tim related. As for the Fetherston Lions, Tim would have been amongst the crowd and would have been more exposed than me. As a general rule of thumb I found the west of the Penines were more welcoming ( I'm happy to admit as a Lancastrian by birth I may be biased) Tim as his Username suggests is of the White Rose persuasion ( that's the curse he has to live with) and has no reason to single out his fellow Yorkists. Favourites Cardiff, Underbank ( despite the stone wall touchline). And of course Craven Park Barrow Worst Filtrona Park, Gateshead, Whitebank. But for the least welcoming ( a part from when Jon Flatman was Chairman and when Kevin Hayes was a sponsor, they had been involved in RL in the Midlands) has to be York. To be fair they have improved since they moved to the LNER from Bootham Crescent and the union clubs they used to use.

Hurricanes were at 12 --0coming up to half time and pushing to go further when Matt Reid pinched an interception on the hooter. Then whatever Carl Forster said certainly worked. Cru dominated the second half and with 20 unanswered point took it to 12-24. The Hurricanes flattered to deceive with a converted try 18-24 with 8 minutes to go. A drop goal from Dally probably would have clinched it but another try on the hooter gave the Cru a deserved win.18-31. League 1 is a belting competition this season.

Don't blame the Ref. Today's referee has been getting good reviews. She reffed the Hurricanes v Dewsbury last week and she did alright. I think today was a bit of fall out from the Lords Mayor Show last week. On top of that it was a short turn around. It might not have been pretty but the lads did the job. What more can you ask?
