Its crazy. I feel your pain thats a WHOLE month! On the other hand.... The Hurricanes finish a run of NINE away games at BP on Friday.we played you on 1st March at home, so 30 days in March, ALL of April, All of May without a home game. Effectiveley THREE MONTHS without a home game.. How on earth can anyone sell a product without anything to show. Roll on June when we get back home.

New England Coach (Merged Threads)
Bearman replied to lucky 7's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Brian McDermott ? Is that because of his famous rapport with the press?. His post match interviews were always " interesting". Short on sound bites but who needs an England Coach who tries to give the punters an insight into his thoughts. -

To read this thread one would think that the clubs just stick a finger in the air and guess how much they can screw the punters for. Its much more scientifict than that. How much does it actually cost wil vary but its not rocket science to know their minimum budget. Venue cost, Doctor and medical, wages, travel, etc All HAVE to be paid. THEN they put their fingers in the air and try and guess how much they can get from sponsorship, gate money and any sundries. Thats the tricky balance and if anyone thinks there will be a profit they are living in cloud cukoo land. They know they are looking at a loss its just a question of how much and for how long they can live with it. -

So the pyrric war in the village between the big enders v the little enders goes on. Both sides would rather die so long as the other side dies too. Form a new club and eat jam sandwiches together in the sunshine. " Never ! I HATE them jam eaters" -
Barrow is STILL in the county Palatine Lancashire... Friends of Real Lancashire are concerned to promote the true identity of our county which has been extremely confused in the minds of some people, especially those working in the broadcasting and newspaper industries, since the local government reorganisation of 1974. The Government at that time stated that the “new counties” were administrative areas only, and that the boundaries of traditional counties such as Lancashire had not been changed. Unfortunately, the media refer to these administrative areas all too frequently and ignore the fact that places such as Barrow-in-Furness, Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington, etc. are still in Lancashire. If administrative areas had not been called counties much of this confusion would have been avoided. The Royal Mail has dropped the use of administrative county names in postal addresses, and names such as Cumbria and Merseyside do not appear in the current Royal Mail Postal Address Book

Clearly your use of English is literally at fault. (“Literally” is an adverb that means “exactly as stated” or “using the literal or primary meaning of a word.” A few synonyms for literally are “actually,” “completely,” and “directly.”)

Because THE RFL decided it.. then renegade when they understood their financial implications.

SO.. The RFL decided that THEY should supply independant timekeepers for all Championship games this season to make it fairer. BUT, then they decided that due to TRAVEL COSTS non heartland teams would have to supply their own timekeepers as it was too expensive for the RFL to stump up more than a tram ticket for their timekeepers. Clearly the RFL have acknowledged that money does not grow on trees. ( but non heartland teams just have to suck it up Sunshine)

Seem like clubs have very poor accountants. How can clubs that are losing money be liable to tax in the first place? Im sure someone will enlighten me.
