  1. Are season tickets just general entry or can you choose a particular seat?
  2. I don't disagree and that wasn't the point. I certainly wouldn't want funds spent on wages to the detriment of the club as has happened too many times before. Even after my post, the comments still refer to points for this and points for that rather than the prospects for Cas as a rugby league team on the pitch. All I meant to say was that IMG seems to be the only thing on people's minds.
  3. Only my opinion but all the comments on this thread reinforce my thoughts that IMG system is ruining the game. We have someone willing to join the board of one of our superleague clubs and yet it is all about facilities, accounts and IMG points. We all go to watch our teams play rugby league on the pitch but there is no talk about players or the future prospects of Cas.
  4. Cheers. Couldnt see that on my phone but nice and clear on laptop.
  5. Nothing on website news but the club shop has link to vx3 with pictures and sizes although size guide would help as they go up to 7XL!!
  6. If we were watching last years team playing at Whitebank then £20 might keep people away but I would hope that being able to watch the team that has been assembled, in Oldham, at the relative luxury of Boundary Park will get the turnstiles clicking.
  7. Or even Cornwall themselves having to make the journey "up north " every other week. Its embarrassing.
  8. And now it appears Cornwall have been "asked" not to participate in 1895 cup as it is too far for teams to travel. Only the RFL could come up with this.
  9. Interesting to read the report from Salford that if they were to lose superleague status their funding would drop from 1.31m to 50k. How do the rfl expect the game to thrive and expand when there is such a massive gulf in funding?
  10. Clubs couldn't organise season tickets, sponsorship or contracts until the decision was made either way. My view is that the RFL just didn't want to ruffle the feathers of the championship clubs if they could delay things for 12 months. From expansion clubs to series for the national team to central funding they just seem to dither and lack any direction.
  11. How can clubs prepare if the RFL can't even confirm who will or won't be in the competition.
  12. 1st November been and gone and I haven't seen or heard anything.
  13. But they had a strong, successful squad to start with that beat us every time we played them. 4 times?
  14. I am guessing by the lack of comments that this isn't everyone's favourite signing so far. He obviously has potential -like Paga- so let's see how they both develop with people like Ford, Long, Craven and Ellis to guide them.
  15. Apologies if I missed something earlier but are the calculations not just used to determine the grading? I.e the fact that Salford are listed 8 and London 24 is irrelevant if they are both graded B.
  16. What is the role of RFL? I would expect that as the governing body they manage the game outside Superleague and make decisions for the benefit of the clubs and the game in general. I am all for getting the views of the clubs but surely they should be making the decisions and telling the clubs to get on with it.
  17. Hopefully we will hear something soon as I understand that a zoom meeting is being held today.
  18. We are assembling a good squad and should do very well but there are no guarantees in Rugby League. On paper we were second best when we played at Hull KR in the cup a few years back but on the day teamwork and the will to win shone through. Having said that i would love to see us go through the season unbeaten.
  19. I understand where Hunslet are coming from but like people have said elsewhere it appears that everyone is only interested in their share of central funding and not the state of the game.
  20. I don't think IMG or the RFL for that matter give a thought about League one. Too many business men with little thought for the sport itself.
  21. I have to agree. Whilst we might be signing good players on paper, they are not full time pros and need handling differently.
  22. The club did say they wanted to build a team for the championship even if we were in league 1. Whilst I did like a lot of the players on the released list they didn't perform in league 1 and I guess the club have decided that they wouldn't improve enough to become championship players. I do find it odd that all these decisions are being made before a coach is appointed though.
  23. Paris, Toronto, Kent, Scarborough, South Wales to name a few.
  24. Yes the officials were useless and disallowed a few tries as well as some odd decisions but we had no creativity. 5 drives and a kick for most of game and some terrible game management from our so called senior players.
