  1. I always think of it as the Thug and Bludgeon school of management.
  2. Can't see beyond Saints for the League Leaders and Grand Final double and Hull are looking a bit steadier so they might win the CC. Relegation's the interesting one. Although on paper Leigh and Wakey have to be the main contenders I'm wondering if there could be a bit of a surprise here with possibly someone like Cas being dragged into the dogfight.
  3. N.Wales Crusaders winning all their games, including being the first L1 club to win the Challenge Cup (well, someone had to finish that disgusting bottle of sherry sitting all unloved on the kitchen windowsill!).
  4. Happy New Year one and all - lets hope it's better than 2022!
  5. Back about 40 years back it was quite normal for players to have a swig of sherry before going out on the pitch, most kit hampers used to have a bottle or two buried in them somewhere.
  6. According to the fixture list published in LE, the second round's between February 23rd and 26th and the third round's between March 9th. and 12th.
  7. I'd imagine that the chances of him having the money to build a team that can overtake TNS is less likely than the Dalai Llama being the next Pope!
  8. Excluding 'director's donations' is a good idea. Wakey's last period of success ended when their then chairman and financial backer died (I think it was in a car crash) and the family weren't interested in carrying on.
  9. Less of the middle aged - some of us are whinging, miserable OLD b*****s!
  10. To pull this thread back on topic - what's needed is for the RFL to give WWR a deadline to state their intentions or they're out. Clubs in L1 need to have the uncertainty ended so they can finalise their planning for the new season.
  11. Anyone up for nominating Red Rooster as supporter of the year? His journey is that of a true fan.
  12. Australia by 18 - very close first hour then the Aussies pull away in the last quarter.
  13. Particularly in February when the weather can be dodgy. You'd think that they'd have more local matches at that time of year.
  14. Oh well, if you're going to get a forecast wrong might as well do it properly. Samoa won because, to put it politely, we weren't very good - worst display of the tournament and I tend to agree that overconfidence (or should that be arrogance) could well have been a factor. Supporting Samoa in the final now and we all know how well teams I back do.
  15. For all the talk that Samoa have found form, I still reckon that it'll be England by 40+.
