I’m sure I saw that Broadbent was initially announced by Hull KR this morning as having signed a deal until 2027 before it was amended to a season-long loan. Is Opacic’s contract up at the end of the season by any chance?

Olpherts to Wakey until the end of the season

I’m enjoying SL+ and am watching about 3 games each week. As others have said, commentary has improved with Woods, Wilson etc. The app is working great with AirPlay, all good. Would be great to get the catch up games out a bit quicker going forward e.g. if I miss a 3pm kick off, I’d like to be able to watch it at, say, 8pm. At the moment, you generally have to wait until the next day which is harder to avoid the score.

The grip socks are standard (ankle) sports socks. The sleeves make them look like normal long socks. I thought players had to wear some kind of long socks for some reason as part of the kit…RFL rules or something - so that’s why they wear the sleeves as well. Only my assumption though

Wakey’s defence was good and Barrow had to think out of the box - their kicking game was great and put us on the back foot quite a bit. Too many mistakes from Wakefield. A bit clunky and sloppy, going without the ball a couple of times and too many drops, but we needed a tougher test, got one and won by four tries. Great to see Harvey Smith showing what he can do. Great prospect at dummy half. Enjoying seeing some of the younger players getting a chance.

Sorry if it’s already been covered, but does anyone know who the commentary team will be on superleague+ or are we still waiting for that to come out? -
Huddersfield sign Tom Burgess from 2025
Curly perm replied to Chris22's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
He’ll be 33 in April 2025. A bit of a risk at that age on a 3yr deal, but a top player and Huddersfield have done well from Chris Hill in his latter years. -

Ah I couldn’t find the app on my TV. It’s not an Apple TV though. -

Sorry, just catching up with all this and might be a stupid question. Did someone say we need to cast it to TV? Looks really positive and the app looks good though -
Another one with £20 off GF tickets here. Getting paid to do the predictor and a few polls that I’d prob do anyway for a bit of fun when the notification pops up.

Doesn’t surprise me. Really good turnout at the club shop this morning for the kit launch.

Having successfully gotten everybody going and up for the game with band, fireworks etc, they then tried to do a minutes silence. V strange.

Enjoyed it. My not-easily-impressed 11yr old (is that just all kids these days?!) was loving it in the half hour before the game with the band and fireworks etc. Close game but, in my opinion, Wigan were class defensively and just shut down a top side for the full game and took over in the second half. Had Johnstone got away in the first half without being ankle tapped, it could’ve been a different story…then again, if Farrell had gone over without the class tackle from Pearce blah blah. It was entertaining to me.

Amateur / Pro clubs relationships
Curly perm replied to Viking Ste's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
My lad’s been involved a lot with Leeds, Huddersfield and Wakefield through his amateur club over the years. Pre-match tournaments, walking out with players, Wakey players came to training, being part of the build up at the World Cup games etc. At least two or three times per year. Not all amateur clubs engage as much as that but I think it’s good going in West Yorks. Wakey generally had four or five kids sides at home games this year. -
