I thought that's probably what was meant - and even with improved funding it will take a while to see much affect given the 3 year average. Even Wakefield's new found wealth is unlikely (unless there's a very large input of money between Ellis taking over and the end of November) to start to impinge on their score until we get to the 2025 gradings when 2024 financials will be first included.

I used a simple direct correlation between number of plans submitted and cost. -
3 points on finances within a year? That's certainly ambitious and I'd say little chance of it happening. Next year's finance element of the gradings covers the years 2021-23 so unless this last financial year was something very, very special.......

I reckon I've spent as much on planning fees as the Cas club has in regard to any of their proposed moves (since ca1974 by the way) away from WR....... -
I think the 12 month rule only applies to director's loans/investments and not other creditors. I've only seen 2 published scoring breakdowns for clubs outside SL which show Bradford getting 2.75pts for Finance and 'fax 0.55pts! AFAIK only Leeds, St Helens, Warrington and Wigan publish full accounts. Unsure as to whether Catalans would be big enough to have to do so if based in the UK.

If you call trying hard waiting for someone to come along and build you one you're probably correct..... -
Fax's scores for anyone interested Performance – 2.39 Fandom – 3.20 Finances – 0.55 Stadium – 1.67 Community – 1.25 TOTAL = 9.06

It's the top 12. Cat B clubs do not have to win the Championship GF to be 'promoted', they simply () have to score more IMG points than a current Cat B SL incumbent. So, if things had been going live next season Toulouse would be promoted and not London and Leigh would have been relegated not Wakefield.

Cheers, I thought everything had been transferred to the new company when Wood and co took over. Not much chance of them borrowing the money to buy back the Odsal lease by the looks......

Their (BBBBB Ltd) accounts filed with Companies House tell very little (well to be honest nothing) about the state of their finances. The 3 sets filed since incorporation, in a remarkable case of coincidence, contain exactly the same numbers.

They've been in place for years, there have been threats to enforce them and still....... If the game was going to be serious about those standards, clubs who don't meet them would be excluded from SL from the off in 2025. -

Only if enforced, which they clearly aren't -
Luke leaving Fev was announced several weeks ago so the club were hardly likely to repeat it. Very little time and effort would have allowed the author to get the correct information. PS sorry to impose without bringing a rumour

It's simply the usual poor standard of journalism we've come to expect.

2024 Transfer Tracker

Current position (also it's only 16 in that announcement but Jon Davies is listed twice and the 3 retirees including MK are included; a 17th departure, Luke Cooper, was announced a few weeks ago) -
