If the "deal" as Guildford insists on calling it had been signed the repairs would have been done at a time which was convenient for both the Knights and York City, as we know Guildford did not sign the 99 year lease on the Community Stadium which included the interim use of Bootham Crescent and FREE training facilities at St Johns University.

Has anyone established why the agreement was not acceptable to Guildford, initially it was because the council would only give 2 year tenure at Bootham Crescent but when this was disproved he never explained why he refused to sign. Any game playing is certainly from the Guildford camp.

As far as maintaining constant use of the pitch at the new stadium how do they manage at Hull, Wigan, Huddersfield, Headingley Halifax and all the other shared stadia?

Would it possible for from the supports club to organise a public meeting for those supporters who are not in the know and try to explain what the situation is at the moment regarding the future of the Knights and is anything we could do to keep the Knights going and playing back in the City of York.

Paul - don't know anything concrete, but just hang in there a bit longer, get the feeling its coming to a head

It is now up to the owner of the club to arrange such a meeting, I organised a public meeting in February inviting the council to present the facts to supporters, two directors of the club were present both refused to answer questions when asked.

We had one of those in February, the council told us what was going on and most fans did nothing, just sat there. It's taken a further 3 months for the penny to finally drop and even then there's still people who won't have it that this entire scenario is down to the actions of one person.

We've got someone who wants to take over the club, have us play at Bootham Crescent and the new stadium and invest in the club to give us a decent club to be proud of, but still blinkered people won't have it, insisting it's all a conspiracy to save the grass for the football club.

Hope you are right that somebody is waiting in the wings to take the club foward ,but there is a lot of supporters who are not on social media and only get the information from the press and radio York which has been very limited.
