Rugby League World – Scandi Rangers

Recommended Posts

In the light of the Norwegian Government officially recognising Rugby League as a sport, here’s Rugby League World’s latest article, from the May edition, which tells of a connection between Scandinavia and Saddleworth Rangers. I’m sure, by now, we’re all quite familiar with the affectionate relationship between Rochdale Hornets and Fiji. It’s one of Rugby League’s better told tales of…

Disappointing that for the second time in 3 months I have yet again been unable to find RLW at Manchester airport. I usually rely on it as a read on the plane but had to pick up a car mag instead ?

Hi

We're definitely supplying Manchester Airport.

It's one of our better sales outlets.

Which Terminal / Store did you try and on what date(s) / time?

I can flag it up to the wholesaler to find out what the problem might be.

Thanks.

Hi John,

Thanks for your reply. I will try and find out the previous date and terminal when I get a chance. But I’m currently sat on a plane about to depart Manchester and I couldn’t find any in either of the WH Smith’s in Terminal 1. There is a large one as you get through security and nothing and also one near the gates and food outlets but nothing there either.

Thanks

All the Smiths branches should have it.

It's possible (he said hopefully) that they've sold out, as they don't get huge numbers in and it's been over two weeks since the latest issue was published, or, more damaging for my blood pressure, it might be that they just haven't put them out on the shelves. Grrr.

If you can let me know the other date, I'll refer this up to the wholesaler to look into, as if it's the former, we can send more copies every month, and if it's the latter, someone at Smiths needs a kick up the 'arris!

Thanks.

Are you sure some rogue RU fans didn't hide them behind some other magazines? They are well known for those kinds of underhand tricks.

I am sure, because in my disgust and disappointed, I felt it was my duty to hide the rugby union mags behind any others I could find

You had to be disgusted and disappointed to hide kick and clap mags? Call yourself a TGG fan! The only disappointment I have is that the porn section isn't close enough for me to be surreptitious about putting them where they belong. Although I am close with cycling mags for the over eighties for their excitement and interest levels.
