Hmm, I was born in Salford, Lancashire, but they moved some of the greatest clubs out of Lancashire in ?1974?, So Swinton, Oldham, Rochdale, Oldham, Leigh, Wigan & Salford (In order of importance), became Greater Manchester, which meant Blackpool Borough were the only club in Lancashire.

Greater Manchester is only a temporary affectation of a historic Tory government.

There were 26000 killed at Towton, mainly from the Lancastrian side, in what was effectively a family struggle for the English throne, unfortunately many of them were Yorkshiremen.  As in all such struggles, neither side really won.  The family, the Plantagenets lost though.    Still it is Yorkshire Day today. So Happy Yorkshire Day!
