Matt Cooper - how good was he?

Recommended Posts

Interesting article on Loverugbyleague about Matt Cooper. I never really rated him that highly - in the sense I thought he was a very good centre but not a top class one of the ilk of Inglis, Gasnier, Lyon etc.

However, the article makes some compelling arguments that perhaps I underestimated him. Wondered what other people’s thoughts were?

Very very good . Top notch . Gasnier / Cooper was as good as its possible to get. Gasnier was naturally gifted but Cooper was an alround better player . Together they complimented each other perfectly

Obviously everything is relative. M Cooper was awesome IMO. To win a WC I'd prefer M Cooper as my left-centre than J Lyon.
