Liam Finn to retire after Sundays match

After over 450 appearances over 17 years and over 2,800 points, Liam Finn will make his final appearance on Sunday for Dewsbury against Oldham.

Great player Finn, if he'd have had any pace at all he'd have been an England International. Sadly his brain was monumentally quicker than his short little legs.

Didn't he go to Wakefield from Halifax as a young'un early doors?  I'll wiki it later but I remember some driving incident out Whitley Bridge way.

As far as his first spell at Wakey's concerned, I was going to write something cheeky like "Ive skipped over his career lowlights" in what is after all a Fev orientated short biog, but ill check and amend that. Ta.

Never knew he was son of Brendan Finn, remember him from Batley I think it was.
