Restall was outstanding again and has been superb all season. Spencer had his best game so far and was much improved from earlier on in the season. Whittel was really good at Loose playing 70 mins straight I think. 

I think the rest of the pack is a massive problem for us. Nelmes has been shocking since his return and the forwards off the bench today were really poor and were a big factor in our poor performance.  Littler made a big mistake not starting Astley after his superb performance last week as Hewitt again was poor .

Hewitt was our best defender on our left. Great pass for one of Restalls trys. Unfair to pick on individuals in my opinion.

I’ve no dog in this fight but I always thought Hewitt was a thorn in our flesh. I could never understand how he wasn’t more popular at Oldham. He always seemed to raise his game against Hornets. As you say his slick pass gave the full back a walk in try.

We were masters of our own downfall with too many handling errors in attacking positions. Restall and Hewitt stood out, but our defence looked far too weak, especially on that left edge again. And after Rochdale went down to 12 men it only looked like one side were going to win it. Very frustrating.
