Relationship with Shaw Cross

Can anyone remember what exactly the relationship the Club announced with Shaw Cross at the beginning of last season that resulted in the massive attendance at the Widnes game?  I ask because my nephew has just started his 2023 training with the Sharks under 15 team and is having to travel to Bell Vue, Wakefield ....Seems a bit strange.  Surely this is the sort of thing that we could be helping with???   Half those lads live just around the corner as do their parents..

I find that strange because I’m sure Wakefield use our facilities, plus doesn’t Finny’s lad play for Shaw Cross under 15’s?

Right let's clear this up

Shaw Cross have two slots on Mondays & Thursdays

Due to the sheer volume of customers trying to secure a regular weekly spot, these are the only allocated free for Shaw Cross to use, in fact Mondays slot should have been for our first team, but gave it to Shaw Cross to give them more time on the pitches, how many teams do Shaw Cross have?? Over 20 maybe?? You can only do so much to try accommodate them, also let's not forget because of a minority on Amber Wood, our operating hours have been cut by the council costing the club thousands in lost revenue, so before fingers are wagged in the direction of the club, they are going above and beyond trying to help Shaw Cross, even to the point of offering available 5 a side courts to them for them to use.

Hopefully this clears the situation up and clearly shows the club is not a fault 🤔

Quite the opposite, thanks for telling us what the club is doing. Shame this sort of positive news doesn't get shared more widely.
