We're off to see the comedian Mark Steel in Halifax tomorrow and we're meeting early to go and eat somewhere before the show.

Can anyone recommend a restaurant within easy reach of the train station please?

One is vegetarian so no burger joints.

Thank you!

That looks lovely, thanks!

Edit - we've not given ourselves a huge amount of time. Was the service quite quick? It looks like a place that might not rush you.

We went on a Saturday night, on our way to Rhod Gilbert at the Victoria Theatre. We had three courses, and I don't recall being in there much over an hour.

What are the various food places in the Piece Hall like?

I only saw one place open at 6.30 and that was a busy bar. We didn't really look very hard though as my friend wanted a curry.

We ate at Spice Delight, an absolutely fantastic Indian place. I had aloo tikki and sizzling chicken tikka; my mate had cauliflower pakora, tarka dal and a garlic naan. My mouth is still watering! Wonderful place and very cheap for that level of quality.

Also, Piece Hall looked lovely and Mark Steel was hilarious. What a great night!
