Taylor a phenomenal tackler. Holds the NRL record for tackles in a game. Made 77 in one game! In the same season averaged over 50 per game. Imagine him , Worrall and Tupaea in the same back row? 2

The Grinder Posted January 23 Posted January 23 19 hours ago, tandle said: so grinder are you saying that the 3 wigan players who chased the kick where passive players. never in a month of sundays they had been worned by the ref that they where offside and carried on with intent. plain and simple off side. I've not seen the incident, so will not comment on this it's self. All I was pointing out is that the rules have changed in this area, whether this is for the better is very much debatable, personally I prefer rules to be black and white and not open to interpretation by the officials. Though I would say that just as pre-season friendlies are learning experiences for the players they will be for the Refs as well, as they get to grips with rule changes. However as this incident demonstrates (as I alluded to in my initial post on this) this rule change will generate many debating points in the pub after the game about whether players are a passive player who is not influencing the course of the game or not. I think there is a big argument to say that any player within 10 meters is influencing play by the sheer fact that they are there. 3 I'm sure I'll think of something funny to say soon.
