I like Luke Keary but the article calls him an NRL Legend?

Good solid player that gave it his all in his prime but his 2 games for Australia were 6 years ago and 1 origin game was 4 years ago. He started to feel his Irishness for a couple of Tests and has slowly dropped away in form or been injured in the last two years.

i hope he goes well but I think his best is well behind him.

"my focus is the same as the rest of the players: purely on this season, definitely not beyond that.”

Cat's problem in one. Short termism. They need youth, stability and a long-term plan, to build on a strong foundation.

Is he an NRL legend?

Well the term legend is very subjective but he has played 231 NRL games, won 3 NRL Grand Finals and was the Clive Churchill Medal winner as player of the match in one of the Grand Finals.

He may not be an NRL legend but there won't be many if he isn't one.

Well yeah, I would argue there shouldn't be many 'legends'. Keary is definitely not the same level as the top halves of his era, but he was a good player who had a very good career - it might be that he's maybe a bit underrated, but the fact he's played so little rep footy suggests he is not quite at that top level.
