What Fred meant is that we should nominate three players only- first, second, and third. One of the responses in the Newcastle game thread had five players!! (2x first, 1x second and 2x third).

Sorry Fredm, I've only just realised that what you said isn't what I thought you'd said! You meant that nobody can split a vote (Fred and Phil couldn't be split so voted for both). In that I agree.

So therefore in the Newcastle match the points gain are 1, Butterworth with 2 votes, 2 no winner all had 1 vote apiece, 3 Parson with 2 votes, all the others go into what I  will call the also rans.

I have already admitted to that error as we have discussed elsewhere....didn't realise there would be so much controversy.
