There seems, still, to be interest in this topic, so we'll have another go.

Start by copying over a Warrington update from Neil_Ormston:

It seems Warrington are ending 105 years of tradition, and will no longer be produced a programme (of any sort) - their excuse is the sales / downloads of the electronic version does not warrant the effort, and they will instead invest the resource in producing more online articles for their website.

I've raised by objections in the strongest terms, and have again offered to produce 'The Unofficial Programme' as I did in 2021 when in the post-Covid season they didn't produce anything. I've asked them to consider whether they would support to make it 'official' - I would produce all the content, they would just need to promote it, either with a link of their website for people to download, or by printing a few hundred copies off in the office on the day of the game and sticking them out in the ground. I'm not holding my breath...

I'll post back later if and when I know more, and with details of anyone who wants to be adding to the distribution list if I do start this up again.

Keighley Cougars confirm nothing - neither individual printed match programme nor printed monthly magazine - will be available at tomorrow's (2/2) Challenge Cup second round tie with York Knights.

Nothing so far at Oldham. There was a suggestion that team sheets were available in 2024 but I never saw any.

Goole Vikings won't have a programme, of any description, for their home debut, on March 16, against North Wales Crusaders, in the 1895 Cup.

To my query, they responded: "As a fledgling club currently, and only part time, we haven’t considered programmes due to our efforts being channelled elsewhere in setting up the club and ensuring we get to our first home game with everything in order."

Which rather suggests there might not be any programmes at Goole in 2025.

Featherstone produced A4 copied team sheets for cc game against Waterhead and 2 pre-season friendlies v Dewsbury & Huddersfield.  Only thing available for Goole friendly were the 2 RFL input sheets.  Expect free team sheets to carry on as per last few years.

If anybody ever wants to check what's available from any Fev game you can find it here https://www.fevarchive.co.uk/programmes/

cheers

For their 9/2 Challenge Cup third round tie with Widnes Vikings, League One's North Wales Crusaders offered a digital programme - charging £2 for the privilege of attempting to read it on a tiny mobile phone screen. Useless!

Update from Neil_Ormston:

Officially confirmed [by Warrington], and my offer to do the content for them rejected.

So that's it. 105 years of traditional killed dead, obviously never to return. I'm not sure I have the heart (or time) to keep 'The Unofficial Programme' going this time

therhinos.co.uk (11/2):

Charge headfirst into an official subscription for Leeds Rhinos’ iconic Blue & Amber publication for the 2025 Betfred Super League season.

Head Coach Brad Arthur will be hoping his side, who last lifted Grand Final silverware in 2017, can improve on last season’s eighth-place finish, and supporters can give the Rhinos their backing on every step of the journey.

The official club publication, which is also sold [for £4] around AMT Headingley Stadium on matchdays, is packed full of exclusive player content, opposition analysis, historical features and vital statistics to keep you up to date with all things Rhinos related.

This subscription covers all of the Rhinos’ 13 Super League home games, commencing with Wakefield Trinity’s visit on Saturday 15th February, plus any home Challenge Cup ties.

Each of the 48-page A5-size issues will be produced to a schedule that allows for a first-class mail out on the Friday before a weekend fixture, with midweek editions dispatched on the day of the game. Subscribers should allow three working days to receive their orders via Royal Mail as this is not a pre-event service.

The price for this full subscription package is £75, inclusive of postage to the United Kingdom and Ireland. Supporters can sign up to the subscription package at any point in the season and still receive all back issues.

Reserve your copy today at https://www.ignitionsportsmedia.com/collections/leeds-rhinos/products/leeds-rhinos-full-season-subscription-2025

Meanwhile, it looks as though League One's Rochdale Hornets will offer nothing more than a printed teamsheet - and that only to hospitality guests.

The National Conference League's Egremont Rangers are to continue with a printed programme (w/a) in 2025. As in previous seasons, it may be available also - free, albeit post-match - in digital form.

The Championship's Sheffield Eagles have confirmed they will not be issuing a printed match programme in 2025.

Previewing Sunday's (16/2) visit of Halifax Panthers, Eagles' website reports: "Instead, a printed copy of the 21-man squads for both teams will be available. These will be limited in quantity but can be obtained free of charge from our gameday volunteers inside Olympic Legacy Park."

Just to update on my own collection. It broke my heart when I started giving them away but I was really pleased with the people who I have managed to help with their collections. Some people drove over 100 miles to pick them up. I quite enjoyed getting them out and looking at them one more time - all the memories re-emerging. These people took about 4,000 programmes which still left 5,000. I watch most Swinton home games so last season I started to take all my programmes of the opposition to the games and was pleasantly surprised that they were snapped up away supporters who had not seen my offers on social media. I watch non league football every Saturday now so I started taking RL programmes of teams from the area I was visiting and again these have been snapped up by collectors. EG I watched Thackley FC last Saturday so I took the programmes of Bradford Northern/Bulls, Dudley Hill and West Bowling. I still have about 1,000 programmes left, lots of Leeds, Hull KR, Widnes but also a lot of amateurs. If anybody has any wants let me know and I will help if I can.
