There are differing views as to it being Widnes or the close by Hough Green station which I understand has a plaque on the platform

Great news that we are back at Boundary Park but, sadly for me, I can't make it now due to other commitments. Will still be shouting for them on Friday and keeping an eye on the score.

He's been playing in the reserves the last few weeks along with Tom McKinney (who played for us at Sheffield a couple of weeks ago) and is one of a crop of good young forwards coming through. Really solid prop who has been very unlucky not to be playing in the Warrington 1st Team. Most Wire fans are screaming for him him to be in the 1st team and can't understand why he isn't.

Clifford, please do not take my reply as a slight on your post or your comments, I am only replying to the quote to put my opinion forward. Whilst I agree things could have been handled differently my take on this is that some things were in place prior to BQ arriving and then he was not made fully aware of other things later hence,...." bonus' for being placed in the top 10"... as this would not have come out until the end of the season. I feel he is now going over contracts and agreements with a fine tooth comb and finding these things out. Now, some may say, he should have done this before but, when you have people with vast amounts of Rugby League acumen and management experience in senior positions, there is a certain amount of professional trust you place in those people, along with expectations that they know what they are doing and that they are doing this for the betterment of the club. BQ appears to be intimating that this has not been the case, and he being very clever in not naming names. The best time to have put these things in place was the beginning of the season, the next best time is now, and it looks like that is exactly what BQ is doing. I am always sad when things don't go according to plan with ORLFC but I am still a fan even though I can't get to as many matches as I would like. Tomorrow, is one of those times when I can make a game so I will be at Sheffield to cheer the Team on and I hope a lot more get there too.

Watched Sheffield when they won at Rochdale a couple of weeks ago and they look a well drilled, well coached Team with a decent sized pack that is quite mobile too. This is going to be close and think it will be all about which pack comes out on top. Think we should have the fire power but fingers crossed on this

Welcome aboard Tom Tom is the son of ex Oldham player Chris McKinney who played in the mid to late 90's for Oldham Bears who was a top bloke and hard 2nd row/Prop.

Apologies Bosman, didn't put it together as he was named as Uili Liu. Thought the three Oldham players did well in what I assume was a weakened giants team.
-
I was at the Huddersfield V Warrington reserves game on Saturday. Jack Walker played at FB and Emmanuel Waine played at Prop but can't remember Bailey Liu playing.

Pretty certain that James Webster was coach or player coach for Whitehaven on that day

I've kept away from all of this for a number of reasons but do feel that this thread is the right to time finally make some comment. This was exactly what I was hoping to get from BQ at some point and I am feeling much better after it. In my mind, he has tried to put some meat on the bones of everything that people have been wondering about within the confines of legalities. It is a relief to me that he is still committed to ORLFC after all of this and shows that this club is in his heart. It is now, more than ever, time to get behind the club as much as possible and, for me, that means attending home games whenever possible and wherever that me be, until the lawyers have made their money and this is resolved as best it can. It is also the time to remember that although there is a falling out between the two Sporting Clubs in Oldham, it is not the time for their supporters to fall out. I will be there on Sunday to cheer the lads on and hope as many people as possible get their too, and show our commitment. Thanks for this update Bill and keep strong

I think this is a shrewd move on Oldham's part bringing him in as Assistant and concentrating on attack. Most top clubs have coaches for specific areas such as this and, from Ford's days in Union, he is no stranger to this sort of thing. It's been mentioned that "Killer" did sterling work at the likes of Rochdale and Swinton but I thought he also did a very good job at Keighley when he came in towards the end of last season. My glass is half full on this.

I was at the game at Robin Park and he played at L/H/S Second Row for most of the game. Sean Long was also at the game too.
