Regarding Green's shoulder charge, I have yet to see any evidence that shows direct contact with Burn's head.
Saints are not as good as some people are beleiving, despite the fact they were unbeaten. Rovers will go well this season and are the new 'entertainers'.
Fair play to you, that's some post and some statement..
I already have an absolute dread of this coming Thursday. Albert Kelly looks just the sort of player Hull FC will have major problems with. I also think Rovers' recent style of play will either rip Hull to shreds or be their undoing from the errors that come with it.
Time will tell although I'm almost certain I'll be looking for the KC sofa to hide behind.
Cheers for that. The guy I was speaking with told me a number of other interesting things about Bailey & JJB but I wont waste my time telling any of them as it would only result in the forum "Tough" guys taking sly little swipes at people who have achieved so much in the sport they claim to be fans of.
If you seriously take offence to anything I put on this forum then you have my apologies. Like I've said to one or two posters before on here, I use the forum for sharing info and having a bit of a laugh, that's all. There are a few on here now and plenty in the past who come on here just to wind folk up, "Trolls" is, I believe, the general term for them. If you think Deluded Pom? or my good self fall into that category then put us on "ignore", but I think we fall a long way short when it comes to behaving in that manner.
As for our friend Ryan Bailey, I'm not going to argue with what he's achieved at Leeds during his career, his medals etc, speak for themselves. But few can argue that he had a specialised job within that team, and that job was to wind other players up and get his team penalties for it. And he was very good at it. He usually picked on the backs as they were easier prey and he knew the opposition forwards would come flying in to defend them whilst he took a back seat when his team mates arrived. And then the Ref would award Leeds a penalty for retaliation.
Regarding JJB, my pal's wife belongs to a church group and they had him down to give them a talk a few months back. Apparently he was great entertainment, regaling them with plenty of stories about his life in RL. I remember him being on one of Sky's special features once when he was at a stables riding horses around and generally taking the p**s out of himself.
Seems a very likable geezer.....well, compared to Bailey he does.
