It was obviously a yellow card. It was a blatant attempt at preventing the play the ball hoping to prevent another chance for Leigh before half time. Do you seriously think Lewis was considering all the options as he held the player down?

What amused me was the look of confusion on his face and the subsequent head shake. It was about as clear a sin binning as you could wish to see.

Great to see so many smiles on players’ faces for Hull at the end of that game. I wondered if there might be some sort of reaction after a difficult week or so but the players and interim coach looked like they were really enjoying themselves. Davy Litten is such a terrific young player but, at the other end of the age scale, Zak Hardacre is having the time of his life. Felt for the Cas fans, after a great win last week, albeit against a youthful Wigan team, they must have turned up tonight full of hope. Their team let them down badly.

One of the great characters of our game back in the 70s and 80s. Amazingly enough, he stood next to me in the Threepenny Stand to watch a game at the Boulevard once! RIP Ronnie.
