  1. A Hull girl I was dating a lot of years ago went to study at Bradford Uni and found it very difficult to order a glass of "Coke" in the local pubs there. The bar staff all thought she wanted a sample from the Captain of the USS Enterprise. I was listening to Radio 2, again, a good while back, and they were interviewing BBC local Radio station producers and,on this particular day, they were talking to a lady called Liz Meech. I thought I knew the name and it turned out she was working at Radio Humberside at the time. It was asked of her what a Hull accent sounded like, as she was a Mancunian, and she said that "If you ask someone from Hull what the capital of Japan is they'll say "Terkeyo"..." I was outraged initially but the more I thought about it, the more I realised she was correct!
  2. Looks like Leeds want him back!
  3. Jeez, that pass went further forward than the distance it travelled
  4. My word, I loved those days. Oh wait, they're back!
  5. The "Who will win" game thread poll is now closed...Leeds 93.75% and Hull FC 6.25%... Any chance I could sneak in with a late guess?!?!
  6. Bitter? I had you down for a while as a reasonable Hull KR poster…
  7. Possession : Leeds 61%, Hull 39%. Hull doing very well considering that statistic!
  8. It seems that Willie Peters has finally listened to the fans and realised that squad rotation helps keep players fresh. Over the last couple of years, he hasn't needed to do it as their squad has been very fortunate with injuries. Mikey Lewis back tonight, apparently he has "grown up" so we'll see how that goes.
  9. I would hope that the Hull players won't need motivation as, for a few of them, it's their last game and it would be nice for them to ensure Briscoe, Hardaker, et al, don't get embarrassed by a shellacking. But this is Hull FC we're talking about so I don't think it's going to be close.
  10. When Field scored the last try and the Wigan players went in a huddle, you could clearly see him taking the mick about someone chatting on the Leeds side. Could it be possible that he was referring to Jake Connor who he'd just danced round? Fantastic performance from the Pies tonight, thoroughly enjoyed watching them. I fancy these two teams to meet up in the final.
