Old Frightful

A public announcement from a club in Cottingham near Hull I occasionally frequent, although not to one of these type of evenings I might add! : "We are so sorry the club has just been informed that due to Family illness, the J*** P*** psychic night due to take place on Tuesday 3rd November has been cancelled. J**** will be contacting all ticket holders as tickets were only purchased from her directly! Hoping to arrange another show in the new year! The club will therefore not be open that evening! Apologies as you’ll understand this is beyond our control as it was a private booking and a sell out show!" Obviously I hope the lady or member of her family fully recover from whatever ailment they have. What are people's thoughts on this sort of event? Personally, I feel it's complete bunkum but there must be plenty of folk who feel otherwise as these types of events always seem to be popular and, in most cases, seem to be sell outs. Has anyone on here ever been to one?

Well, that was a rather enjoyable evening! Wakey were superb, their missed tackle count must have been close to single figures. Wire came out like a different team in the second half but it made little difference. We were in the Wakey end and you could clearly see how much it meant to their fans. Looking forward to seeing how their team go on next year, but for now… ”UP THE BLOODY TRIN!”

Possibly, but I remember that particular episode and my parents laughing hysterically at it.

I shall be there and I'm massively looking forward to it. Also, before anyone chirps about cheap tickets, I bought mine well before tickets that suddenly became available from Leeds and Wigan postcodes on internet selling sites last weekend, so there.
