In Topic: Warrington Wolves rebrand

So after the recent fan survey it seems that the fans complained about the brand, retail ops, engagement, the matchday etc. Supports mine and others view that the off field is as important as the on field, especially when trying to build a xlub and fan loyalty. It isnt all about the 80m on the pitch.

Anyway, step 1, a new logo, with The Wire incorporated. Many wont like it, personally not a massive fan of the new wolf head, thought we could have updated the.old one, but pleased to see the.club trying to sell itself positively.

Always liked the Warrington club but always thought the old logo wasn't great, not clean or clear enough. New one addresses that although I think the 'Warrington' bit and 'the wire' bit look like afterthoughts. Overall an improvement though. Good to see a club asking and then listening to fans.

We don't really have another half back after Gaskell. Siejka isn't great.

I don't think any team has a right to be put in a higher division in the new structure. It's an RFL competition and so if a French team are allowed to join then they join at the bottom and work up like the other new teams. If they are good enough they'll soon progress.

I think it's a great move inviting them in.

I don't think there should ever be more than one of Broncos, Skolars and Hemel at home on the same weekend ...................... Oh hang on, that's impossible.

it does, but you have two prime areas for that England game

Perth with its expat community plus the fact that it is the cheapest place for Brits to fly into generally. A problem with that is you would have little chance of making the opening ceremony, which was a factor with Townsville, showing how bad a choice it was. The crowd showed it was a poor decision.

In England you have the one nation that will bring travelling support in major numbers, apart from nz, did they not consider that people flying to the other side of the world on tour may want to attend the opening ceremony? No, coursr they didnt, as the opening ceremony was just a movie trailer anyway.

I loved the 2008 WC, but like EW, i am really excited as to how big it could be done properly!

Agree with that, I also loved WC08 and managed to plan a 3wk holiday around England's group games, including Townsville for the opener, but the scheduling wasn't ideal.

The main thing though is early release of fixtures so planning can start, that was one of the great things about WC13 - I even used to like logging onto the ticketing site to see how the stands were selling out!!!

I think there could be some good crowds in WC17 if they get scheduling right, especially with Kiwis getting home games and Pacific nations improving - also if the likes of Lebanon qualify and get games in Sydney there'll be even more interest.
