Premier Sports would be a disaster really, if you were to rank the channels that you’d want to have rights to the RLWC where would they come? Behind terrestrial, Sky, TNT, DAZN etc.. Premier Sports likely has in the region of 300k subscribers at best, that’s not good for our Sport.

Some activity outside of the ground that families could get involved in pre match. Something to engage you on the field pre game e.g. band, proper anthems sung live. They did nothing. There was actually a decent crowd there, about 19k from memory. But it was simply 80 minutes of RL, which in a 90+ point victory is a challenge

I hate double headers. What casual fan wants to watch two games? I love RL and I don’t fancy that much RL. What I want is an event. The last WC, some of the games were literally just the match, anthems on a tape recorder, no entertainment, 80mins of RL and home. England vs Greece in Sheffield as one example! I went to both the NRL and AFL GF last year … those were events! Now you can’t do that for every game, but you can make a game feel like it’s worth attending and value even if the game itself feels not too attractive.

It’s not clear is it. Permanent home suggests a level of ownership, otherwise it’s just another tenancy?

So do they now own the ground in Bridgend? So it’s actually their asset?

I agree it makes perfect sense to have London in super league. But I disagree with the conspiracy theories from fans who think it’s all a fix. Last year they put two clubs into super league via an ‘independent panel’ that sat outside of IMG. If ever there was a chance to promote their ‘favourites’ that was it. And they didn’t choose London who at the time also had Lockyer etc. in place. So if they happen to get in via IMG this time then they probably deserve it. Personally I would love it if they replaced Hudds but unless we get another independent panel that seems unlikely!

Previous reports stated all 14 clubs will be decided on IMG points for 2027. And not sure why so many people suggesting RFL want London in and will do anything to make it happen, they could have put them in this year but they didn’t.

Just turned this on before half time, the kit clash is awful on tv. This is basic stuff.

Agree it was garbage but creating generic logos is pretty standard for global tournaments. They don’t have the rights for team logos and there can be conflict with national kit agreements.

I think the clash with football was avoidable, as you say even an hour would have meant less of an issue for home fans.

This is an awful game second half. And this female commentator is very average. Altho not as average as the Bulls tonight.

The development officers is were it needs to focus - but I guess a team of 10 would cost c.£500k and not sure where that money will come from. But can imagine that would have a huge impact over 3-5 years in the game in Scotland. I do think the other issue though is that if you look at world rugby league and where to put limited funds - there are probably quite a few countries where the money would go further and get better return, in which case SRL has to find it themselves - interesting you say no government support, that’s a shame, wonder what would unlock that.
