#3181263 Fev reaction

Posted by town4me on 23 August 2015 - 03:40 PM

Not suprised really. Literally Down to the bare bones and we looked fatigued Then invite fev onto ourselves with free kicks and errors and we were never gonna win. Ref diobolical but not his fault for the loss.

Safe journey home silver back and Piggy's mate. Us in radioactive land certainly won't be crying into our cornflakes though. Well done town!! 2pts!!

I think a win would a little bit sweeter after a few of the comments from 'some' dogs fans. I always prefer dewsbury fans anyway

my point is to have a yearly plan , to invest in big names with high wages when there are low crowds is a recipe for disaster as there is no gurantee they will draw bigger crowds and interest , improve gradually and have a competitive team doing well in this league with that mix of players and the crowds will slowly rise giving more financial security and eventually more financial clout and when this happens a reserve team should be one of the first developments to consider developing locals in the championship reserve league getting more and more of the community linked and connected to the club

yes throwing money you don't have at something could end in disaster. I was more thinking of a backer investing that could bring in players that would attract more fans. You put some good ideas forward but they would cost money too. My point is that it's all about money now like most sports. I believe it would cost 30k+ to run a reserve side for starters. The BOD do a great job but they have financial limits. Great ideas alone won't take us to the next level.

Well done to the lads for going to hunslet and putting in a good performance and doing what was required in a professional manner. To finish 8th at this point is an achievement given how the season has gone in genral.

0-12 now. Not suprised really as Fev have nowt to play for and aren't in good form at all. Very scrappy game fev making loads of errors.

Barry Eaton today saying how our fortunes have improved , maybe not surprisingly because not only do we have a ' top SL earner in Sammut ' , but a ' huge centre Thornley who is a top SL centre from Wigan ' ... Doesn't do irony then old Barry ? I tried to count how many Leeds players they've had but I ran out of fingers

maybe we should go on about the long journey "down there" and how it affects us. Nearly as bad as the journey "up here "

Take a bow Mirehouse legend!! You really are a legend indeed for putting that comment on the haven forum lad!

Hunslet and Donny to go down. But if haven lose Gore and chapelhow I think they are in the sh##. They just haven't got a good enough squad to cover Gore especially.

well it looks like hulme and Allen have played their last game through injury and if they do lose the DR lads they will struggle but there could be twists and turns yet. Our situation feels a whole lot better than it did only 3 weeks ago.

Cheers's graham. If you just pen haven back with kicks and work in defence you will be ok as we did that and they couldn't get out of their own half.keith yes it's a good opportunity for us today especially as I fancy the rams to win at haven

#3156933 Haven reaction

Posted by town4me on 12 July 2015 - 04:31 PM

Basic but very effective rugby.complete, kick, chase and tackle and the result looks after itself. We pinned them back and didn't allow them to play. Obviously it's down to them playing so badly(lol)but the fact is you can only play as good as the opposition allows you to. GET IN !

I think latu was starting to show signs of real improvement before his injuries. His injuries have been frustrating and probably more for him than us. I think it's a tad unfair to have him written off as one of the worst imports just yet.

Why isn't jon patrick playing for town?

#3149179 Sheffield away

Posted by town4me on 28 June 2015 - 07:05 PM

true and form should see london win , i did say pull off a shock and it would be just that , a shock but haven have some momentum , batley are the team to watch and they probably wont win one after the donny game .

agreed on batley and most likely 2 points for us are haven away and if we can take them we are still in it.

#3145448 Bulls reaction

Posted by town4me on 22 June 2015 - 06:33 PM

Yes , was surprised when I saw that figure . If have guessed 1400 maybe . Big away following... Mr Lowes said they were ' terrible ' and we only got back into it because they ' dropped off ' allowing ' soft tries ' . Totally unacceptable he says and he told them ! Did we play a part in this game then ? Still a superior SL arrogance down there it seems

yeah and still some SL arrogance with their fans to. "What's it like to see a crowd" they chanted. The reply should have been "what's it like to see the championship"!
