  1. Think the Club did reply but the reply was unreadable - and sent the day before the deadline so couldn't be re-submitted
  2. B Mathiou, not Mathieu. Interesting judgement in that the judge ruled he was entitled to win bonuses when loaned out and the loaning team won....
  3. At least 3 Championship clubs (Fev, Batley and Dewsbury) aren't offering OAP concessions this season.
  4. After this season it will be virtually impossible for any Championship club to (IMG) outscore a SL club One rumour doing the rounds is a 14 team SL including Catalans and Toulouse. But, they would receive no central funding and would also have to fund the travelling expenses of UK clubs.....
  5. Following a detailed six-month review involving all Tier Two and Three clubs alongside the RFL executive, the Betfred Championship will become a 13-team division for one season only in 2025, with League One expanding to become at least 10 teams - and applications to be invited for an 11th (for full details, see the summary below). ....... Promotion and relegation between the Championship and League One will be determined by a Super Eights style competition involving the top teams in League One, and the lowest-ranked teams in the Championship. Full details are still being worked through, but the impact will be to reduce the number of teams in the Championship in 2026 to 12. https://www.doncasterrugbyleague.co.uk/article/1665/rfl-statement-|-betfred-championship-and-league-one-restructure---2024-26 Other rumours around that SL will expand to 14 with Catalans and Toulouse being admitted but receiving no central funding and paying travel expenses for visiting teams.....
  6. 'Alleged' being a key word in that report particularly when the RFL don't seem to be getting involved.
  7. Us, Batley and Dewsbury are 3 Championship clubs (there could well be others) not offering (OAP) concessions this season
  8. Leaving out the 'big SL team away' and that's much like the conversation I was having leaving the ground yesterday
  9. Not really Voluntary tackle 4. A player in possession shall not deliberately and unnecessarily allow themselves to be tackled by voluntarily falling to the ground when not held by an opponent. If a player drops on a loose ball they shall not remain on the ground waiting to be tackled if they have time to regain his feet and continue play.
  10. In over 50 years of watching I've only ever seen one penalised: late 80s David Hobbs at Oldham. Other laws that seem to usually/regularly ignored: - The ref not having to actually see the ball being grounded to give a try - calling held as soon as a second player from the side in possession joins the tackle
  11. From memory* Box, Days, Coventry, Quinn, Kellet, Newlove, Butler, Thompson, Bridges, Farrar, Stone, Busfield, Bell subs Tuffs, Smith Tries Bell (2), Days, Stone, Tuffs Goals Quinn (4) * Of where to look for the info
  12. Thought the critical point today was Wake taking the 2 at 10-8 when they looked to be starting to get on top. Never really threatened after that.
  13. Critical point for me was Wake taking the 2 at 10-8 when they'd started to get on top. Never really threatened after that.
