  1. Leeds prop Sam Lisone to Hull FC.
  2. I'm not sure about that, hopefully someone can put us right on that.
  3. It was a bit bizarre I thought, it came in the immediate moments after Leeds' last try which was absolutely faultless as regards any possible rule infringements. The Lewis incident is in the following video with the replay around 1 minute 24 of the actual video time. I've watched it several times and, at the risk of incurring Worzel's wrath, I'm trying to work out what caused the HIA failure. Yes, Newman caught him high but it wasn't much more than a grab. He didn't make a direct hit on his jaw that normally is the reason a concussion occurs and his head didn't hit the ground either. It was a high tackle, that is obvious, and more than worthy of the penalty, but Lewis was losing the ball before any contact was made. I must admit, along with Jon Wells, I thought he was milking it a bit and was amazed when he failed his HIA. Perhaps the RFL Disciplinary will have a look and then we'll get their insight. Whatever, it was a high shot and Newman can probably consider himself fortunate that he didn't also have a sit down for at least ten minutes.
  4. Very diplomatic of Jake there, regarding Shaun Wane, I remember when Connor was interviewed live on Sky and it was said to him that Wane had said he’d contacted him and told him what he needed to do to get in the England squad. Connor replied “I haven’t spoke to him”…
  5. Not signed for us yet and maybe he never will but Big Sam is already a Hull FC favourite!
  6. They were celebrating Lewis losing possession which he did before the impact.
  7. They certainly seem to be getting the rub of the green, that’s for sure. When Newman touched Lewis’s neck, he’d already dropped the ball, perhaps the “high” shot negated that.
  8. Too many errors with ball in hand to win this, a bit like last week at Wire. Defence has been good though, still in it at the moment but I fear it might not last.
  9. Day of the Jackal author Frederick Forsyth 86.
  10. Steve Norton will always be my favourite player, he was just a genius so he gets my vote. However, it could be argued that when Hull signed Vince Farrar, that was such a statement of intent that other signings followed and I, among thousands of others, was able to witness one of the truly great periods in Hull FC's history.
