Little Johnny woke up in the middle of the night and went to the bathroom. On the way back to bed, he passed his parents room. When he looked in, he noticed the covers bouncing. He called to his dad, "Hey Dad, what are you doing?" The dad answered, "Playing Cards". Little Johnny asked, "Whose your partner?" The dad answered, "Your mum". Little Johnny then passed by his older sister's room. Again, he noticed the covers bouncing. He called to his sister, "Hey Sis, what are you doing?" The sister answered, "Playing Cards." Little Johnny asked, "Whose your partner?" She answered, "My boyfriend, Paul." A little later, the Dad got up and went to the bathroom (naturally). As he passed Little Johnny's room, he noticed the covers bouncing. He called to his son, "Hey son, what are you doing?" Little Johnny answered, "Playing Cards." The Dad asked, "Really? Whose your partner?" Little Johnny answered,... "You don't need a partner if you have a good hand!

Sun 28th Apr: The Betfred League One Match Thread
Bearman replied to John Drake's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
At 16-20 with about 20 minutes to go Oldham it was telling that Oldham took the two points offered from a penalty. Then Hurricanes had a good try disallowed and Oldham were give a try which even their supporters doubted. The red card halfway through the first half was the difference between the two sides. In the last 5/10 minutes Oldham ran in a few trys against the very tired 12 men that flattered them. But, its the scoreline that goes into the history books. Well done to everyone in what was a real tussle. -
COYR. Let's get the 2 points

The chants are " Hurricanes" not "Midlands " Just like the species shouted "Skolars" not London, "Cru" not North Wales, "Thunder" not Newcastle. The "Choir" have embraced it with quite a few variations. So, you might not like it but the paying punters do -

A man went into a brothel in Nottingham. He told the madam that he was desperate but only had £10 and the cash machine had just swallowed is bank card. She said they only way they could help him if he used one the " old girls" she was partly retired and was mainly used a cleaner. He was desperate and said he would try her. The madam took his £10 but warned him that it would be unusual as the girl was deaf and dumb and could only communicate with signs. "Fair enough lead mo to her " he said. He was soon in action and to his surprise he was put off when she reached under the bed and hit him on his head with a tin tray He shrugged it off and carried on only for her to do it again. Once again he carried on but. When she again again reached under the bed only to strike him on the head by a rubber duck. That was too much for him. He and stormed out. The madam asked whaton earth was up? He related to story and she laughed. " I told you she could only communicate by signs and she was just telling him there was a problem. Probably because she was old and had been well used down the years" W " what was the message " he asked " twice she hit you head with a tin tray, then she hit you with a rubber duck." It's obvious she was telling you Tin Tin me duck..... you must have missed the hole

NRL Europe? In Winter?
Bearman replied to Henson Park Old Firm's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the Elephant in the room SKY. They say who "pays the piper calls the tune" Nothing could happen for 3 years as they have the contract fir summer rugby. The reason they have been paying the piper since 1996 is because RL fitted into their sport calendar. They needed more sport content in the summer. Would Aussie broadcasters think that they could sell enough subscriptions to make it worth their while? Would European broadcasters think they could sell NRL to us? Whilst soccer is nominally a winter sport effectively its year round so we are not a threat to them. We would be up against RU at international level but broadcasters in Europe have realised that the club scene seems to be a dead duck. ( I would like to think that they have realised that the RU emperor is stark ballcok naked.) It won't happen -

I have just visited my local hospital. Whilst turning in and waiting for the traffic lights to change I was amazed to see a magpie crossing the pelican crossing. It had walked across the south bound carriage. It crossed the island in time for the lights to stop me ( I was turning right in a two lane section). THEN, with another island on the North bound road to cross it waited. At that point our two lanes had a green to go. The last I saw of it, it was patiently waiting to cross another two lane North bound section!
