Reserves at home vs Dewsbury - This Thursday

Our reserve grade continue their Reserve Championship campaign on Thursday against their counterparts from Dewsbury Rams. Kick off is at 7.30pm with admission on the gate £3 adults and £1 concessions.

 

We will also be showing St Helens vs Huddersfield Giants in the Super 8s live on Sky Sports in the Cappers Bar (Kick off at 8pm)

Don't forget the reserves are at home this evening and the good news is Ben Blackmore and Jy Hitchcox return from injury

Rovers 24 Dewsbury 28 final score.

A fantastic display from a young Rovers side with only 15 players available.

The down side Jy Hitchcox got a straight red card after about 20 minutes, just wish the first team could get some of the team spirit that these lads have, totally committed to playing for the shirt, I got told that there were 4 or 5 17 year olds playing due to first team call ups plus injuries and unable to make the squad up to 17 players due to insurance issues regarding some players had theirs expired !

Hope these lads have a great future with the club and good to see the other lads who have made it to the 1st team from the reserves turning up to support their team mates.... UTR

Shame about the officials for both sides very poor I'm afraid.

Rovers lost tonight in the play off at Dewsbury either 33-26 according to the Dewsbury twitter feed or 33-28 according to the Rovers twitter feed, Rovers only had 13 players available ! unbelievable from a club of our standing, well done to the lads and staff for a great effort.

Rovers also had 2 players sent off and Dewsbury 1.

Blame the club apparently letters were given they were not wanted next year perhaps they ment from this week.Any way well done to the lads shame you lost.

The game was not a dirty one but blew up due to the niggling antics of jordan grayton . i think he will be looking for another club again before too long . otherwise a good game and a great effort from your lads .

Grayston looked a real good prospect at wakey, but he's gone backwards in my opinion. and how he didn't get a ban for what he did at leigh, i'll never know.

you must have watched a different game to me, Jordan was holding some of the dewsbury players back during the brawl, the fact crookes came running in off the bench and also buchesy throwing a few punches going unpunished was far worstcompared to jordan s 'actions'

if you happen to watch it again it was Grayston that started the punch up,I'll admit Crookes was lucky not to get punished for jumping up off the bench,Buchanan reacted to a cheap shot from behind by your man who was rightly sent off for it. But that didn't spoil the game for me,I thought it was a great effort from your boy's.
