  1. Looking that way, seems his departure is less down to us freeing space and more to do with his reaction to not going straight back into the team last year - in which case it's absolutely the right decision for the club to get rid.
  2. Yes I did see that, even saw one journalist making a case for Toronto but it's not even close for me. +1098 points difference with an average scoreline of 48-8, 100 points past a fellow playoff team (and another 70 against them in the playoff semi final), FIVE members of the following years SL dream team and a 6th in McDonald who would make the 2024 dream team.
  3. I think at least 1000 of these views have been me
  4. Yes Leigh had 13 by the end of 2022 - John Asiata, Edwin Ipape, Tom Amone, Kai O'Donnell, Sam Stone, Ben Nakubuwai, Mark Ioane, Jy Hitchcox, Nene McDonald, Blake Ferguson, Krisnan Inu, Ata Hingano, even Lachlan Lam as his exemption didn't get approved til after the GF. I still pinch myself at that squad they assembled, don't think it will ever be topped as the best Championship squad. It was a mid-table SL squad.
  5. Pretty much feel the same to be honest, in terms of replace-ability, I had him just above Tuitavake and Pene. Definitely had value as a non quota player, although that has diminished with the increase to 10.
  6. Last year was the exception rather than the rule in that several big players were all leaving from the cup winning team. As a general rule Leigh have never announced departures except for club legends. I don’t think a single season import is going to change that, especially one that didn’t even play the full season and look to be leaving under a cloud.
  7. HMRC adjourned AGAIN to December 3rd
  8. Yep, you can even find the completed and signed paperwork here 1682350908_rules.pdf The issue for the CBS came down to appointing the board reps after the initial vote. SRD will have done the new ownership/dissolution of CBS vote purely at boardroom level with the justification that the CBS members appointed the board to make decisions for them. Most ethically run CBS clubs would typically consult with the wider CBS membership before taking big decisions, Wrexham are a prime example which had this process filmed for the tv show.
  9. That's absolute nonsense which was demonstrated to be so about 300 pages back on this thread. 10. Really enjoyable watch and some nice behind the scenes stuff. When I saw it was 2024 I was hoping they might cover some of the behind the scenes debates over the head contact rules which did fluctuate but I get why they didn’t.
  11. What is Christmas Jumper Day? Christmas Jumper Day is one of Save the Children's biggest annual fundraising events. It's been going since 2012! Every December we ask schools, workplaces, and community and friend groups to put on a Christmas jumper and donate whatever they can afford. And every year, millions of you join us in making the world better in a sweater. By taking part this year you can help support kids and families who are having to deal with an increasingly volatile world. We'll use the money raised on Christmas Jumper Day to help children in the UK and all around the world stay safe, healthy and learning - and change their future for good. Find out more about some of the children from Ukraine, Syria and the UK who your jumper fun could help. Source: Christmas Jumper Day 2025 | Save the Children UK
